Actually, I have been noticing some backlash against Rarity over Sweet and Elite and then her, let's be honest, taking advantage of Spike at the beginning of the last episode.
But Dash goes through the same thing with her "character development" episodes, so it's nothing new.

Dash and Rarity both have somewhat negative demeanors, I mean Applejack, Twilight, Pinkie and Fluttershy always go out of their way to accommodate and care for each other or randoms....Applejack solved Rarity's sister woes, Twilight and Pinkie moved the party...and thats just in the last three episodes.
