As for Spike, he's selfish every now and again. Think back to Season 1 with Owl's Well That Ends Well or whatever the episode's name was.

Being a baby is huuuge though. So many people want Rarity and Spike to fall in love or something, but that's weird, isn't it? A baby dragon and an adult pony? That's like, pedopony stuff. And awkward.

On top of that, ANYTHING can destroy Ponyville at this point. Everything from Spike to cows to Parasprites.

D) Trollestia doesnt give a [diddly] lol.His greedwas what made him grow all crazy like. As for the meme thing, I meant at the time it was spreading around the net being born from 4chan.Shouldve put how I never seen a meme spread like it.I know how it is now lol.

I'm probably a tad guilty of that, my bad. Like Prince said, Spike isn't normally selfish no, but he has his accasional bouts. Greed apparently rapidly ages dragons far beyond that. Ponyville has to be one of the most vulnerable places in existence. But at the very least it's well defended by the Mane 6, much to their chagrin.
