That just threw me off so much. I don't want to hear his lifestory. I know thats callous but I just cant read a story thats been set up like that. Im sorry but I just cant.
I know you like it and found lots of things in it that you like, buts its very much not for me.

You really wouldn't like Final Fantasy X. BTW in most all forms of fiction you tend to learn about the protagonist's life story regardless.

I never understood the hate about my little pony FIM, Firstly, it is so different from the previous generation that no one has the right to criticize it before watching at least the first episode. Secondly...why are people so defensive? What are they afraid of so they try to look tough all the time? I feel sorry for them, it must be very hard for them to live with themselves and the need to try too hard to show superiority to others. We live in a sad, stupid and retard-filled world.
Those are exactly my thoughts as well!!! Pony haters just are afraid of being laughed at by other (miserable) people for liking MLP:FiM, so they just hate on the show. How sad.

I agree with you, but I wish you wouldn't use the term retard like that. I know lots of mentally disabled people and it's really derogatory to them, and insulting to them comparing them to such people.

Sorry Pony fans, I'm not quite sold to it. I'll still be lurking to see the weird fandom anyways.

*facehoof* but the first two episodes aren't supposed to be funny, it doesn't get funny until the third!DominusVita wrote...
Well, I finished watching the first episode of the first season. After seeing all the enormous fandom and other ranting about the series, it was slightly underwhelming. The 2 biggest factors that seem to put MlP in the limelight is the visual style and humor. It was mildly entertaining, though I'm hardly going to be joining the Bronies anytime soon. I personally prefer Friendship is Witchcraft - The Dark Humor and general nonsensical bits they add in have more allure than the original content.

*Almost* over. As mentioned on the previous page:
There will be one more part to the story, which I will (mis)title "Afterword".
The Afterword should be posted on Christmas morning.
It will be a simple slice-of-life, just a few pages long, set several years into the future. The intention is to provide a glimpse of how certain things turned out (much like the endings of the first Fallout games, but in a more organic way).

maybe we just set his expectations too high. with 400 pages for a kid's show and all.
try watching it when you're bored or something, when you dont expect it to be the miracle day panacea that it is. then it'll hit ya.

Well, if you can't watch it on Bronystate, wait for the youtube videos to be posted, then watch it on your TV through the youtube app on the Xbox 360, for those of you who can do that(as I can).
I have a 360, though I won't need to do that because I have the PC hooked up to my TV all the time.
