Personally I joined when I started seeing all the pony avatars here too.

I was like "what the *buy some apples*? why does everyone have a pony avatar? I thought that show stopped being popular 20 years ago.and c9 was like "here, click this link and watch."

So luckily I was introduced to the show before I knew the hate was there.

I was introduced to the show by friends who woirk in animation and they told me it was good and like cartoons from our time as kids so I got into it before the big internet fandom hit.
