Any fanfiction I may or may not have written is confined to brainstorming on my computer, if it actually exists. FO:E exploring the Sino-American War killed some of the broad strokes I was using for an Equestrian Civil War, and I've got nothing but a bare framework for a "the true founding of Equestria" type thing.

One of her political agendas is going to be space travel, but I am trying to find a logical reasoning there. Ultimately I am trying to get ponies in space and somehow link Unicorn/Pegasus powers with mass effect fields. As for characters, I am going to try and stay away from using the mane 6 or Shepard's crew. Part of me wants to set the story after the events of Mass Effect with the Reapers winning resulting in a brand new cycle. I don't know if want any bipeds in the story at all. Probably plan on using new species, but with similarities to the already established races. Then again, part of me wants to disregard the the establish canon of MLP: FiM and have the Unicorons/Alicorns represent the Asari, the Pegasus represent the Turians, and the Earth Ponies represent Humans.

want an idea..heres one.

history is written by the winners. How much of that "true founding of equestria" is truth and how much of it is propaganda? living so long you probably have a couple of skeletons in your closet. how far does celestia's lie run? how much is she willing to do to keep it buried? who is dumb enough to dig?

So basically a what if scenario where Shep loses and all races are wiped out, Ponies achieve decent space flight/discover eezo/mass relays
(possibly many many 100's or even 1000's of years after Sheps galactic civilzation dies if we are considering the passing away of Celestia here, also meaning no Mane 6 as you say) discover the Citadel, and become the new seat of power in the Milky Way? (Before the Reapers show up) Hmmm, it could also work as the ponies being a single unified council, like how the Protheans were the only race in power during their time, rather than loads of seperate powers like humanity, turians etc. You don't have to take my ideas if you don't want to of course.

You know, if you write this well enough, you may have a big success on your hands. Just don't let it get to your head.

The only thing I am having trouble with is how the Reapers harvest organic life. Do they only harvest those that were capable of adapting their technology or do they just destroy everything.

I am thinking I should write a series of prologues with the ideas I am trying to convey. My whole idea of Equestia's existence is due to Earth fall to the Reapers is based loosely on Adventure Time and how the Mushroom War in our world is what created the Land of Ooo. I personally like to think of it as if Fallout and The Elder Scrolls had a child together, but I seem to be rambling a bit here.

I'd say hold off actually writing it untill ME3 is out and we know the full story. That way you'd have more to work with and possibly an advantage over other ME Crossover fics that already exist.

Totally agree witjh you there, the previous generations of MLP were just so terrible on so many levels.

Yeah my first ever experience with MLP was my younger sister getting cartoons for christmas a long time ago somwhere around 2002 and 2005 She was watching it and I strolled in the room to see what the duece she was Laughing about because she was old enough to not just laugh at anything. There's this Bloody ****ing awkward wierd Pink Thing on the TV and i'm liek wtf is that thing....needless to say when i first saw pics of FiM i was like "...hmmm this does not appear to be my little ponies, i shall watch a bit longer as my eyes do not yet bleed". Then They shot a bad guy with a laser and it was win.
