speaking of watching episodes, im rewatching luna eclipsed right now...i think when Luna refers to herself as "we", she might actually mean it. Like some kind of crutch or wall to protect herself. The only time she refers to herself in first person is when she gets accepted, like when she starts playing the games and when lilpip asks her to come back again.

You're looking at it backwards, I think. She gets accepted when she starts to tone down the Royal Princess stuff and stops using the royal "we" and speaking in Canterlock.

Ivandra's right, though. Word of Faust is that something corrupted Luna into Nightmare Moon, but that they were still the same person. Luna Eclipsed was basically proof of that.

Not quite. She's Luna, it's just you can see in Luna Eclipsed the parts of her personality that wound up forming the basis of Nightmare Moon when she was corrupted. After that NMM basically replaced Luna (although I'm sure you could toss some "I know you're in there somewhere" BS into it if you really wanted to) until she was defeated by the Elements of Harmony.

But still though, I applaud her for this. Ten points to Gryffindor.

Although that one guy on EQD who said about wanting to do Twi (describing very graphically so, hurk) Made me do more than just cringe. You look at the EQD page you'll see what I mean. Guy made me feel physically sick, and it scares me that such weirdos exist in this, or any fandom.

(what i meant with my last pose was, Luna might have some sort of disassociative disorder. think of "fight Club").


And ya, something pretty bad happened to Luna. Theres that bit in the prologue how she was jealous how everyone loved her sister and everyone more or less didnt give two-oranges about the night, or at least Luna felt that way. That mustve hurt. I see Nightmare Moon as sort of what she had to become to cope with that hurt.

or it could be some sort of god-illness eldritch abomination.

Well, technically the term is tripf-g (don't hurt me, Chris!), but like with all 4chan terms it's pony custom to repalce the second half with "friend". Hence the "drawfriends" on EQD. 

Anyways, it's used to a describe a trip code user. Since Urban Dictionary handles these things better than I do:

A trip code is a code used in anonymous threads like 4chan to determine whether or not the anonymous poster is authentic or not. 

It assigns a code to the end of your name. 

When you add the pound (#) symbol to the end of your name followed by a word, like a password that only you know, it scrambles the word into a code. That way it's undetectable and can be used over and over again.
