Nyysjan: She is, and always will be my least favorite pony of all time. Pinkie pie is not inherently malicious or cruel, but a personality like that is best kept as far away from society as possible. I'm just glad coffee doesn't exist in Equestria, I'd rather not see the results of Pinkie Pie on a caffeine binge.

I wouldn't personally say least favorite pony of all time. But least favorite of the mane six, for sure.

I tend to like her better when she's not the main focus of the episode (Baby Cakes and Party of One being exceptions). But even that has pitfalls, like in Cider Squeezy and Luna Eclipsed.

I really thought that Rainbow Dash would have been devastated when Twilight reveled to her that being athletic and an egghead are not mutually exclusive, but she seems to be taking it pretty well.

And that's without exploring the possibilities of Equestrian History...or Octavia and Scratch (would would probably be like ponified Friends)...and I think the CMC were original intended for a spin-off series anyways...

there HAS to be a trixieburg episode this or next season. with all the attention she gets in eqd, theres no way theyd let such a popular character go. it'll be a massive shoutout while retaining the mlp quality that its known for, it will be glorious.

Well, she's getting a toy (in what may as well be labled as the "Brony Toy Set"). So it might be in the works.

Honestly, I think I'd almost rather see Gilda come back..or at least another Griffon character. 

Of course, the best thing to do would be for DHX to gift us the rare and powerful Gildixie.

Episode recommendation?

I would start with Lesson Zero (S2E03) and Party of One (S1E25), if you like insane ponies. Winter Wrap Up offers a good look at all of the main characters. A Dog and Pony Show has some action-adventure elements to it.

You could start from the beginning with the pilot, although it's not really indicative of what the rest of the show is like.
