No, that's a very very common phrase in English (especially in refrence to older daughters and presents), and by no means should be considered a refrence, the Unicorn Thing is more of a refrence than "you're too old for me to buy you a damn pony". The situation there is a play off gender and the common theme/joke that little girls want Ponies (as opposed to asari commandos). Nothing more Nothing Less.

I think we're reaching for a refrence here and we aren't gonna find any unfortunately :/ maybe they're throw one into the "tweaked" ending.

No one said it was a reference to FiM. All that was meant was that the word "pony" was thrown into ME3.

I remember pestering some devs, especially editor Karin Weekes, to get a pony reference in the game.

As long as the word was in there, we're good. That's all that was wanted.

And we got it. In NO WAY did anyone ever ask for a MLP reference. That'd be pushing for too much.

O.o this whole time i thought we were looking for a pony refrence... not just the word xD wow big misunderstanding from like 50-100 pages ago on my part @.@.

No i thought the previous discussion pertaining to it was about a full MLP refrence xD i misunderstood everything about that apparently xD but hey it's all good now xD. Still i say the end is more like an Orbital Friendship Canon then anything else <.<

edit: i would also maintain that' you are never too old to be given a pony with asari commando powers... they're just unicorns after all.

ROFL! So I just caught up on MLP:FiM today. I was a few episodes behind thanks to Mass Effect 3.
