Faith while by definition has to be a choose to believe insomething with no real explicit evidence, does not mean rational thought can't co-exist with it on some level. You approach it cautiously with an understanding of what you're agreeing to and accept the idea that you very well could be wrong in your belief. In otherwords you similarly don't "deny" the idea you could be wrong in the same way you don't deny evidence of a consistent occurance. I'd call that "rational faithing" at least that's what i did in my experience. I'd say that the 2 can co-exist and that they aren't mutually exclusive and that was my take on the episode (you don't have to agree with it, nor do i with you).

While i'll admit that you're correct to an extent "faith" does involve some degree of blind trust in an entity that might not be there (not exactly rational). I wasn't saying that "faith" is entirely rational. In any case this is a very subjective matter and is heavily influenced by life experiences on both sides of the fence. And there very well may occur a moment where we can not explain  a phenomena by any scientific means And that's All i'm gonna say about it. you're entitled to your interpretation, and i'm entitled to mine. Whatever situations you've had in life that shape
your opinion regarding "faith" and "rational thought" are your own. Just remember "degree" is a very important word applicable in all fields and there are indeed degrees of "rational thought" and "blind faith".

I was referring exclusively to religious faith, which I equal to blind faith, which is what the last minute of the episode turned that situation into. It is impossible to live 100% rationally.

Edit: Which is why I always wait the extra hour necessary for the English versions appear on YouTube. I don't even know when it airs over here, much less how behind we are on the episode list. I wouldn't be surprised if Season 2 just started, TBH.

I never asked for this.

I had the main menu music playing while reading this. Really cool. The prologue raises tons of questions, though - with HR itself it's kind of obvious who everybody is thanks to it being a prequel, but while I've got an idea of who's who there's no telling here.

Regardless we don't get new eps the same time as America so it doesn't matter either way.
