 Just watched Part 1 and is it me or does Twi sound different when she sings. The Queen reminds of Zerg Queen Sarah Kerrigan.

NNM would win over Chrysalis i think. She has more backstory than the new villain and also is woona HOwever the fact that Chrysalis was not defeated and just bounced out of canterlot with her minions means she may possibly return to do something so unlike NMM she has room to grow.

If Discord was there, couldn't Chrysalis turn into him herself? Equestria could barely handle one Discord, I don't know what could happen with two.

She has a different VA for singing. Which is odd, because Tara is totally capable of signing very well herself.

Can she copy his abilities though? Probably not, CHrysalis is mighty powerful but that power is derived from love so in that respect she may be the weakest of the three villains. ON the flip side shes the only one with an army :innocent:

That's what I thought when I was directed to it earlier. Though admittedly I still haven't seen the scene in glorious 1080p.

EDIT: Nonetheless, that pretty much solidified this season's shipping war as Sparkledash vs Flutterdash. 

Long and furious were the battles in the days of yore, the long hot summer of MMXI, as the mighty vessels of Appledash and Pinkiedash clashed upon the waves. But those days haev passed into legend, now. 

A brave new world awaits us. The wars of the MMXII have only just begun.

You know, Chrysalis did get her sorry plot blasted out of Equestria, but is there any reason for her to lose all the power she absorbed from Shining Armor? She's gone for now, but eventually the mane 6 may need to dust off the elements of harmony and fossilize her if they want a more permanent solution to the changeling problem.

Presumably it's something that has to be maintained. 

Like, if she can no longer draw THE POWER OF LOVE from Shining Armor, it goes away.

Ya'know, If Chrysalis was smart, she would have kidnapped Shining Armor and married Cadence. Cadence seemed to be some sort of love goddess, just the kind of pony a changeling would do well to keep around.

I am an idiot. I was not aware episode 25 & 26 arrived on the same day. Whoops. I was curious what all the talk about Chrysalis was. I like the art style for her, but the premise that changelings feed off of love?

¬_¬ Don't get me wrong, I like the vast majority of the episodes. It's just the motivation hits me as very cheesy. The action scenes are fantastic, and are a nice change of pace from the usual character-piece shtick.

I don't think they feed off of love -per se-. Certainly the Changeling army that broke in didn't seem to be doing much of that. Chrysalis just appeared to be using it to manipulating Shining and draw in enough power to shatter the shield protecting Canterlot. Love may well just be another possible font/enhancer of magic like "Friendship".

My god, she was precious in this episode. 

Until I come down from this high I'm going to have to break the Dual Monarchy and declare Twilight the unequivocal Best Pony.

Love is technically borne from friendship in some cases, and in the MLP verse, well, Friendship is Magic! Besides you have to remember despite how awesome the show is the primary target audience is young children/girls. That hasn't changed in any way. They're allowed some cheesiness.

I'm not sure I get it either, are they supposed to be the opposite of windigoes or something?

Chrysalis reveals herself and spends several minutes telling her prey piece-by-piece exactly how she's going to take over.

I dunno. Maybe I'm just getting tired of MLP. Well, it's still way better than the Mass Effect 3 Ending. Buh dum, tss.

Or you're forgetting this show is still a kid's show- kids need things explained to them sometimes.
