I have my own theory in that Celestia and Luna were originally very normal pegasi/unicorns. Discord showed up, causing trouble as was told and so on, eventually Celestia and Luna went to do something about it. They found and used the elements, trapping Discord but left an unexpected side effect. Due to the fact that only two ponies were wielding the power between them, the elements were much more powerful and changed them irreversibly into the immortal godlike beings they are now. Whether Celestia and Luna were rulers before or after Discord I dunno but it seems more fitting afer.
As for Cadence, she could be a genetic mutant of some sort. Not immortal, or even an alicorn but rather simply a unicorn with wings/winged unicorn with no real special magic power except from the norm. Though she does still possess formidable magic but so does Twi.
I realize this theory wouldn't jive with many due to it practically shatters certain elements of the fanon, but this is my headcanon and I'm sticking with it till we get official word.

Interesting, according to my theory, Alicorns have a rare genetic allele that causes the malformation of certain hormones involved in the fetal development of ponies.  If a baby unicorn has two copies of  this allele, the hormones that usually trigger apoptosis in the stem cell groups that normally develop into wings fail to function, and abnormal metabolic pathways are opened, leading to miraculously potent cell regeneration.

I also believe that the most recent common ancestor of Celestia Luna Cadence and Blueblood was a tyrant named Princess Agharta, but that's another story.

Lol, know what's funny? The Mane6 people apologized for that one animation where Rarity puts her hoof across her opponent's face, saying that they'd try to make the rest of her attacks more lady like, but seeing the fight scene in the latest episode, I don't think they were too far off.

I imagine they could come up with stuff, but it would be super cool if she could gain control of the other character and hurt them in some fashion.

Rarity can get down and dirty when she needs to.

But yeah, we'd have to expect the ManeSix dev team will come up with their own stuff for the characters we haven't seen fight in the show.

Since the finale had a TON of fighting when the Mane Six had to go get the Elements of Harmony, I imagine the ManeSix dev team will look at it and use it to modify what they have down for the characters in game already.

Still, I want Shining Armor, Cadence, and Chrysalis in the game at some point.

She'd be really weak physically but magically she'd be as strong as Twi. Plus increased mobility, wings and all.

Yeah, she'd have to be squishy.

Not a lot of health, very weak physical attacks, but super strong magically with the ability to fly and very high mobility.

I wonder what her ultimate move would be.
