:Sigh: Just as I often dream of how awesome it would be if game publishers didn't exist and major studios like BioWare, Obsidian etc operated like Valve, I also dream of Hasbro having ZERO say in FiM development.

Don't get me wrong, they aren't nowhere near as evil as EA, but they aren't saints either. And they interfered with Faust's original vision as well.

I mean, Derpy-gate, "must-be-watchable-in-any-order", "you-can't-even-imply-AJs-parents-are-dead", Pink Celestia toys, overall poor toy line (that doesn't resemble G4 at all...), etc. A license from them would still be necessary, I know...

Oh, if I ever won the lottery, the choices would be overwhelming. Hasbro-less FiM? Bethesda-less Obsidian? EA-less BioWare? An entirely new studio to make a prequel of Homeworld? Choices, choices, choices!

There wouldn't be a Hasbro-less FiM, since Hasbro owns the My Little Pony franchise.

And honestly, I love the set up of FiM.

Not saying Faust's original plan would've been better or worse, but I like what we have now.

Its not broken- I say we don't try to fix it.

There isn't enough Healthy food in the world for the adorableness that is Filly Twilight.

And eating horse while watching MLP sounds like good idea actually...

oddly enough, I read somewhere that Hasbro took a hands-off approach when it came to the g4 and it was ultimately that, where they let Faust more or less do what she wanted with what she had that made the show become more than some cookiecutter, dime-a-dozen kids show for girls.

I think thats the lesson here.

Well, there's no denying they've intervened occasionally - such as Celestia being a Princess, not a queen. And Cadence was originally just a unicorn, not a pegasus-unicorn/alicorn. And you can't even being to count the sins that have been committed by the toy line. 

Overall, though, I don't have much beef with Hasbro.
