It broke past my former Celestia-tier (Lesson Zero, Return of Harmony, Sonic Rainboom, CMC, Read 'Em And Weep, Hurricane Fluttershy) into its own Cosmic-tier.
Yeah, its insane how good it was.

Words cannot express how much I love this.
Also, this reminds me, as cute as "Twiley" was, I think Shining should have had another, more teasing, older brother nickname as well.
Like, I don't know, "Sparky" or "Sparklebutt" or something.

Merriweather obviously got off on a very bad foot with the worst episode in the series, by far, but otherwise she was pretty good. Still, I'd like her to please never get handed an episode that has any significant amount of Rainbow Dash ever again.
Keep away from Twilight, too, just in case.

I’m going to derail your thread to talk about Mare Do Well
I know. You always do, jerks.
So, I’m going to anticipate and get the first word in.
At this point, with this much data, I don’t see how anyone can deny that there is something going on with Mare Do Well. For months, people have been saying that “oh that’s just /show/’s opinion – they’re one small corner of the fanbase.” I’m not buying it. Think of how many people have joined, or left, the site since December. It’s been MONTHS since this aired. If it was about us, and not about the episode itself, one would expect the rating to climb at least a little bit as new visitors “unbrainwashed by /show’s/ hate wagon” arrived. It hasn’t. It’s so freaking solidly low ranked that it’s jarring and sort of having a weird effect on the math.
Analysis of this episode, and why it is so disliked, will likely continue forever. With that said, keep it out of my freaking thread!

Then again, the finale made everything look lower than usual.

Because nothing says fun like GRAPHING!

Obviously the most notable features are the huge, unanimous crash at MMDW and the huge, unanimous boom at A Canterlot Wedding, Part II. ACW, Pt. 1 also scraped into 2nd place just ahead of Hurricane Fluttershy.

Talk about the rankings!
Gladly!
If anyone thought A Canterlot Wedding, part 2 wasn’t going to be on top, they were kidding themselves. Even early on, it wasn’t a question of if it would win; it was a question of how badly it would destroy its competition. The results? Pretty badly. I have NEVER seen a ranking so close to 1 – an AVERAGE of 3.34 is an amazing score, and it has a standard deviation of nearly half the other episodes, suggesting it’s almost unanimous. I could gush about why this episode is so great and earned its crashing victory, but I’d be preaching to the choir; it’s almost unanimous.
I honestly though Hurricane Fluttershy would take second, and until very recently it would, but A Canterlot Wedding, part 1 barely scraped by in the end. I think that’s pretty fair. These two episodes were married to eachother in a way that the previous two-parters were, and seeing them back-to-back felt like watching an amazing movie. Hurricane Fluttershy still earned a well-deserved 3rd, being the episode that restored the faith of the Dash fans for certain after a rough season for ol’ Dashie.
Ponyville Confidential debued at a mediocre 16th place. Still, it’s the highest ranked CMC episode this season outside of Sisterhooves. Could be worse. MMMystery on the Friendship Express, however, showed up at a pretty awful 19th place. I think most of us felt that, even for this show, the whole thing seemed a bit toooo silly for what Who Done It should be like.
Solid 4th place Return of Harmony, part 2, a long time favorite episode, ended the season respectably. Sweet and Elite rounded out the top 5. Most of the rest of the top ten wasn’t much of a shock – A Friend in Deed and Lesson Zero have historically done well, but I was shocked and a bit amused to see Luna Eclipsed sneak in there at 10th place.
The bit about Hurricane Fluttershy is very much truth. I enjoyed it for Rainbow's parts as much as, if not more than, I did Fluttershy's.
EDIT: Also, my personal opinion of A Friend In Deed seems like an extreme outlier. I can't honestly be the only one who thought that was an eminently forgettable episode, can I?
