And if Season 1 isn't your style, try Season 2. More references only adults will catch, more fanservicey, etc etc.

u know ever since this whole buysomeapples selfcensoring thing, ive been craving ambrosia apples lately. ive never bought so many apples in my life. mlp has encouraged a more healthy eating lifestyle. another good thing mlp has brought upon the world.

It seems like in a lot of fics, everypony's cutie mark should be  a picture of the author.  What else is their destiny, if not to bow down to the writers every whim and get shipped with whoever the the brony desires?  Or, you know, get killed if it's that kind of story.  Maybe Blueshift was trying to say something about the horror a pony would experience should they learn that their entire lives have been pre-ordained by a person like this choose your own adventure story's PC?

That's how it always starts. The early episdes, the show is still trying to find its voice. By the time you get to 10 or 11, watch out. 

Eventually you'll look up and go "holy hell, did I really just watch 26 episodes?"

Its a good thing the main character never mentioned FO:E to Flutters. Don't think she'd ever recover from that.

After watching the first five episodes of this series I can say that the show is alright. I still don't understand the hype though.

Exactly how I'd define the first portion of the show. The first 2 episodes are narrative filling and "getting to know the characters" episodes. The writing gets better after that, but it takes some time before MLP reaches the climax of writing, visuals, and overall quality. 4 of my Top 5 episodes are in season 2, and the 5th is later in the first season. Not that the others aren't great on their own accord, but just saying that the later stuff tends to be the best of the best.

I reccomend sticking with it if you're still interested. If not, well, the choice is up to you.

Edit: Also, please try to avoid the pyramid quotes, since the mods are asleep and we're posting ponies.

And yeah, what Dom said. IMO, the highlights of Season 1 are Sonic Rainboom and Cutie Mark Chronicles (and honorable mentions to Winter Wrap Up, Best Night Ever, and Party of One to round out the Top 5), both of which come after the halfway point.

Heck, out of all those that I listed, Winter Wrap Up is the earliest at 11. Sonic Rainboom is 16, and the other three are three of the last four episodes of the season.
