That's actually a really good question. Presumably it has something to do with everybody wanting her to be a gay symbol for whatever reason.

EDIT: Also, had a go at trying to create some of my Equestrian Football League teams in Madden 12. Let me just say, for all vast leaps Madden's been making in terms of the actual on-field play over the last decade, the extras have been regressing more and more each year. Back in the Gamecube version you had tons of freedom and choices for create-a-team, and the uniform designer was much better. Now you're locked into a very limited selection of crappy designs. 

And that's not even getting into things like historical teams (e.g. '92 Cowboys, '75 Steelers, '89 Niners) and the other special teams.

I was trying to figure out how Applejack's muffins poisoned everypony, and than I remembered a story I heard once, that in the Gulf War a whole bunch of American GI's got poisoned by Diet Coke that got left out in the sun for too long.  So, I figured that maybe the reason that Applejack's muffins made all those ponies sick was that diet soda was used in the batter, and the artificial sweeteners broke down into toxins while being baked. However, it turns out that the story I got the idea from was a hoax. So much for that idea.
