Everybody hates Spike. That's what defines him. 

Twilight is...well yeah. 

The joke with Dash is more that she's got an...uncluttered mind rather than that she's lame. Also I think she's colorblind in addition to being extremely nearsighted? 

EDIT: Also, remember, Luna's actually Molestia.

You -will- cry. It's like a cosmically-ordained component of the standard model. 

There's also some unofficial sequels up on FIMFiction that takes some of the sting off it, though. Kind of like a good twin of Cupcakes (what with how everybody and their mother writes alternative endings to or branches off that fic) - everybody wants to write their own, less bittersweet ending.

I suppose you'd may as well, just so that you can be a well informed member of the fandom, but you'll never get that half hour of your life back.  Hate to say it, but it read like the "forever alone human" equivalent of Cupcakes.
