I had the same problem with that fic that I did with "Disturbia" in the sense that the only hope this story ever had was an ending where the protagonist turns out to be insane.

I suppose you'd may as well, just so that you can be a well informed member of the fandom, but you'll never get that half hour of your life back.  Hate to say it, but it read like the "forever alone human" equivalent of Cupcakes.

I can think of several spots in Project Horizons where An End would be very applicable.

FoE was really dark, but PH takes that further, while upholding the same (or arguably, better) quality of storytelling. It's truly fascinating. Read it next.

For some reason, I got "This Love" by Pantera stuck in my head in the sequence where Blackjack hets trapped in Lacunae's brain.
