I watched the entire first season during the middle of my college final exams from two semesters ago. My impression of the series was pretty jumbled, but I recall thinking that it was okay for a show designed for a target audience that did not include me.

The production values are decent, and I remember enjoying some of the self-achievement episodes. So, overall I would probably recommend this to anyone looking for something fun to watch with some time on their hands and nothing pressing to do. (Like finals exams, which is probably what killed most of the show for me.)

Anyways, Rainbow Dash pony is best pony. DWI.

We argued about who is best pony, tried in vain to get Volus Warlord to join the herd, speculated about season 2, posted tons of cute pictures, and I tricked a lot of the other people here into clicking links they shouldn't have.  That's all i can think of.
