Thats just it, I don't know.

I'd want Hasbro to have a lot to do with the game, but not just Hasbro.

Bronies as well.

I'd love it if Hasbro contacted a lot of the popular bronies in the community, the artists, musicians, game developers, etc etc and had them help out in any way they can.

Names like Mandopony, Johnjoseco, The Living Tombstone, The ManeSix Dev Team, etc etc.

As for what game developer that we know of? I'm not quite sure.

Bethesda would make Equestria look the best it could be, and an open world MLP game would be epic, but then the story might not be up to snuff- that's where I'd hope Hasbro and bronies could come in.

I have noooo idea. Just throwing the questrion at random I guess I was thinking RPG since the earth, pegasus, and unicorn ponies seem to fit warrior, rogue, mage.

I imagine any real MLP video game sold on a major console wouldn't be a fighting game, that's for sure.

But some form of RPG format would be awesome.

Moving swiftly on to your little discussion, I reckon, providing we're talking about an RPG here Intelligent Systems would be a best bet. (second party developer for Nintendo, they make the Paper Mario and Fire Emblem RPG's) they'd be able to give the game a flank load of charm and attention.

And Luxure that wallpaper was up on EQD recently. Can't miss it.
