A buddy of mine in design school related a similar
discussion from one of his classes. The discussion went to artwork that

I know this is off topic but we have a strikingly similar thing here in detroit at the DIA(Detroit Institute of Art) It often comes underfire for being too simplistic and is typically pointed to as being the reason modern art is terrible(at least by general opinion not sure what art "pros" say about it). Turns out it's done by the same person no shocker
