Well, for starters, the TV show that this thread is about is still alive. That's one reason.  Second of all, all the other hobbies you can have are lame.  Pony fandom puts them all to shame.

I'm trying to draw that scene from FO:E where Littlepip is supposed to flush all her Party TIme Mint-als down the toilet, but I have no idea what toilets look like in the MLP universe. : /  Oh well, I'll figure it out eventually.

Mainly because we haven't veered off topic, there is always something to discuss. Also fights almost never break out here miraculously.

Simply because it's surprisingly a damn good show. It can be humorous at times and a great amount of characters (the main six characters especially.) the show is a great thing to discuss, especially considering the massive amounts of fan content that gets churned out daily. Lemme find something I made a while back. Doesn't quite apply to you though at the beginning, I made it in response to someone else.

Nothing is wrong with us at all. (Hell a university research project somewhere proved the pysch of a brony/pegasister was pretty much the same as any other person who doesn't watch MLP FiM) We and probably nearly a million others (guesstimate EDIT turns out we nearly are near those numbers, at least from only counting visitors to Equestria Daily) wouldn't be watching the show without a good reason. That reason is that it's simply a great show good enough to capture the attention of adults and teens from both genders. Plus Hasbro, Studio B&DHX have been having great communication with the community along with the VA's. Also you probably won't find a more talented fanbase anywhere else on the net. We have fanfiction (Some of it as good as the best books) art, music vids, remixes, do original music covering many genres, fan games though most of these are in development (Seriously check these out) abridged series like Friendship is Witchcraft and a hell of a lot more.
