When was that said? (Other than when RD said it, which could be taken as either Las or Los depending on what you hear. But really based on the latter part of the name LA makes more sense. If they were basing it on Vegas they've called it Las Neighgas or something.

@Bo If we're throwing fanon into this one could say that Hoofington is still too small at that time to be shown on most maps.

Jaysson confirmed it on Twitter at one point, which is odd because I thought it was supposed to be L.A. as well (Pegasus = Angels, also same number of syllables). But it at least meant I could back to using Los Andalusias/Los Arabias. 

Huh. Given "not to scale"...I think I can make this work. Although I'd really have to switch the locations of the Everfree Forest and Whitetail Wood. And assuming the pony tribes migrated in from the Lands Of Always Winter up there, beyond the Crystal Mountaints.

Yeah It's not so much a lifestyle for me, more of a pastime. I even liked kid cartoons waaaaay before this MLP show.

I will also never call myself a Brony, not because of who they are but because I hate fandom name things... I liike my individuality thank you very much.

Still, at this point I would almost say the Bronies are kind of a new subculture, and with that comes the good and the bad.

I've never liked the name, really, but ultimately it's just a label. The people who try and disassociate themselves by saying "I'm a fan but I hate bronies" tick me off (not saying you were). 

Personally though I do like the fact that we've gotten big enough to the point where adding "bro-" to everything and certain catchphrases like "brohoof" are no longer commonplace. 

Yeah, more often than not I hate the "fan who hates other fans" type(sometimes it's fine though). I mean I will say there are more Bronies who are creeps than nice or cool people, but I like some Bronies, I am even friends with some. So can I really say I hate all Bronies? No. That and Yaya Han cosplaying as Rarity could make anyone into a Brony.

I just never got into fandom name stuff because it does take some individuality out, more so when you have a show like MLP that gives lessons on why stuff like individuality is important. Also the show gives even better lessons like "If your friends have bad taste they should all die", that lesson made Suited for Success one of my favorite episodes.

As for the huge fandom, like I said it's kind of a new subculture, with being that comes many great and bad things.

I have honestly always wondered WHY people got the impression of it being a Vegas analogue. Dash C-L-E-A-R-L-Y says LOS Pegasus on the episode, and the Pegasi - Angels connection makes far more sense.
