Not mine. I get 'em out. One book down, one half through:devil:

My chapters are around 2500 words, you just have to be complete. Speaking of which, is anyone interested in reading my stories? I feel like I should let others chose which one of the two I should continue writing.

How many chapters?

When you have 3000 words you'll get one complementary glomp. All afterwards cost AM 43p.

You have no idea. Oh God. This fanfic. Its length.

Good God.

I'm going to hate myself for writing so much.

Sysly though. It's where the work starts. As a lovely instructional book called something like "how to write a novel" said, everyone has a story they just can't wait to write. The problem is actually getting it on paper.

/story of my life.......pun fully intended

The worst part is RIGHT NOW.

I want to write. I'm FIENDING FOR IT.

But I need details first. Characters drawn up, ideas to flow, cohesion, etc etc.

I'm the kind of writer that wants a lot of the story written before its ACTUALLY written.

So over the next few days, I'll be working on characters. Their backgrounds, quirks, relationships, where I want them to end up.

As thats going on, any other details will get jotted down. Especially on the new landmass in my story.

Definitely gonna have to elaborate on that. Heavily.

Might have a map of it drawn, or might go with it as I write. Dunno.

SO MUCH TO DO.

2 for the 1st story, involves ponies moving into Ponyville in a different way. ( I don't know how I want to end the second chapter, but I already have the next 3 planned out... I just need to write them)

1 for the 2nd story, involves Vampires and Princess Luna's Royal Guard, and the 'Commanders' (name still a work in progress, Commanders is a fun name... but highly unoriginal.)

Well I gotta write dat ponefic so I don't end up having another three month gap between chapters uploads, so that keeps me from being able to get into the flow of my fully original stuff. Like I started the actual scripting for one story a while back and on;y have one full episode to show for it ;-;

Its the first pony stories I have written yes, I have tried to write stories before, dropped them around 50 pages into them. If enough people want me to write them, then I will.

Although I am quite fond of Protoss (even though I don't play StarCraft), no.

This will most certainly not be the first story I've written, ha.

I've written quite a few over the years. Short stories.

Always bugged me because I knew they'd be better if they were longer. Much longer.

I have that opportunity now.

That's really interesting, because that book I read said that 50 pages is usually the place where writers hit their "wall."

The problem I had is that no one wanted to read them, so I just dropped it. Same thing with these stories now, no one wants to really read them anymore. So I really don't have any interest in writing them anymore.

I'm actually writing now for the first time, ~6k and counting.

It probably sucks. In fact, I'm 99% sure it sucks. But I have to.

This is where plotting comes in I think. For me if I go into a story without knowing where I'm headed, I can hit a wall before even starting.  I think having set points, like knowing how you wanna end it and a few major events in between, you know where you are headed, but what happens along the way can be anything. Give room for a lot of creativity imho.

This is what I'm doing. Setting myself up heavily before I start, and then once I get started just going where my mind wills it, occasionally making sure I hit the points I pre-set.

Also, its good to know your major characters before you start so you can stay consistent and evolve them in a sensible fashion.
