Not really. Sounds like a lot, but if you're serious about fanfiction, you'll commit.

Plus, 3000 words looks tiny when you consider that Chapter 37 of FoE was about 50,000 words.

Compare that to the first Harry Potter novel which was about 75,000 words.

Yeah. 3000 sounds tiny now.

I've gotten a little into the Prologue.

I figured I might as well write that because it IS doable with everything I have right now.

So far? 224 words.

I do not believe the Prologue has to come anywhere close to 3000 words.

I'll leave that for Chapter One.

Dude, for a writer, 3000 words can be done in much, MUCH less than a day, it's not all that much to ask.


Edit: And, if you're a writer, you'll likely have it anyway. I wrote my first book, 60k words (pretty small tbh) knowing it would only be seen by myself and a handful of people close to me--but I had to. A writer writes not for glory, but be because he has to
