Fallout 4 is apparently going to be set in Boston. You know, that Commonwealth stuff mentioned in Fallout 3.

I guess it's ZeniMax who are working at it again, instead of Obsidian (underrated studio...). Here's hoping it will be more like New Vegas and less like shallow Oblivion-With-Guns Fallout 3.

As long as they stay away from the West Coast.

Although Seattle would have been pretty cool too. Maybe after FO4 is out they can let Obsidian develop one with an overland map and real travel again. I'd love a game that explores the area Van Buren was supposed to (Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico), and maybe gets out to Texas as well.

EDIT: There's also a NV story mod called "Beyond Boulder Dome" that's been taking the Nexus by storm, although as I haven't played it yet I have no idea how much, if it all, it relates to the Boulder Dome of the Van Buren design documents.

By "they" you mean ZeniMax, right? Is that a "don't you dare ruin the original setting too!" sentiment there? Cause I know that feel.

NV with Old World Blues, Honest Hearts and Lonesome Road (one-way-trip Dead Money be damned) made me think about "real" travel like in FO 1 and 2. Would be pretty neat if that allowed more variety.

EDIT: About NV mods, all I know is that I love Project Nevada. Had to tweak with the "needs bar" speed to play in Hardcore mode, though. I set them to a point between Vanilla and Nevada, otherwise Hardcore would cease to be simply more engaging and border on irritating The Sims babysitting. As if having 50% of standard health wasn't enough of a nerf.

I wouldn't say -ruin-, since I still enjoyed Fallout 3 quite a bit...but yeahI find it to be storywise inferior to the other mainline games and would prefer that Bethsoft continue with their own East Cost setting and not touch what came before.

Project Nevada is great, but I mostly just set the rebalance numbers back to Vanilla except in a few situations (like DT only applying to headshots if you're wearing a helmet). At this point I've sunk so much time into the game between the 360 and PC that I'm mostly just here for trying out new things and not so much the challenge.

Oh, right, ponies. Um...courtesy of Pixelkitties.

EDIT: Silly Twilight, wearing that Stealth Suit in a hellscape crawling with Deathclaws.

But she's so cute in it. <3

Speaking of Stealth Suits...

Ok, am I the only one who liked The Lonesome Road? I read the IGN review and the reviewer was pretty much an idiot. How could she flat-out admit she wasn't paying attention to the dialog? "Presentation" is a review category, you know!

But yes, damn that sneaky suit that injected Med-X without me asking :?. And a plasma pistol? Really Twi? I wouldn't dream of going through The Lonesome Road without first getting either the Survivlist's Rifle or a modded LAER. Or both.

I usually start the dlcs with just Joshua Graham's pistol, and use whatever I can find.

TBH I'd have to rank it the lowest of the DLCs, -but-...I loved Old World Blues and Dead Money (shocker, I know - that one seems to get a lot of hate), and Joshua Graham alone was enough to compel me through Honest Hearts. So it had a lot to match up to. Nonetheless I still enjoyed it, if for nothing else but the items. Ulysses was a good character, though, as was the ED-E clone.

Let me try and find that picture of Yes Man!Twilight...

i havent played Nv, nut i got bored with Fallout 3, I actually would have liked to see it in Columbus, with Cleveland, Cincinatti, Pittsburgh, and Indi all less than two hours away. Also would like to see Houston and that area of populated cities.:..
