My test was a nice amount of a mix of Twilight and Applejack, a tiny bit of Fluttershy,Dash and Pinkie, but I ended up mostly Rarity. And I say a big DUH to that.

Are you using correct image tags?
[ img ] (without spaces)
then immediately after the ] post the url of the image you want to post
then immediately after that post [ /img ] (again without spaces)
And done, pics should appear.
