Male love interests are so ugly

Seriously, both the males love interests are butt ugly in looks and personality. Both female interests are striking in looks and personality. Bias much?
Solution: Hire female or gay artists to handle the artwork for the male love interests next time. And uh, make at least one of them kind of normal and not insane.

Fenris and Anders both have their positives and negatives, personality and appearance-wise. It's a delicate balance though. You could have a bunch of model clones, or some characters with realistic features (pointy ears aside - it's realistic for an elf). Personally, I like how all of the characters look - all of the little nuances in feature and form. Helps me be immersed in the game.

I must say that I don't care what the males look like as I will never romance them...so I guess I'm biased XD

Anders looks okay. He's not ugly by any means.

Can we just go ahead and agree to this for all the party members, period? Unless it's of the comically sociopathic variety, like HK-47.

demented-demon-twisted-ugly Anders on the other?
ABOMINATION RACISM! Or...something of that sort.
Dude. The character in your avatar looks like total ****. Give me a freaking break.
And, Anders is fine. His character is pretty deep and tragic in a great way if you want to look past his looks and at the actual story and not just label him as being "insane and a demon". But that would require character analysis on your part...so yeah, nevermind.

Why don't you go mod a bit now?

And what difference does it make whether the characters are drawn by straight males, gay males, or females? You boggle me, sir.

To adress your terrific idea of hiring "female or gay artists": at least Anders is designed by a female artist IIRC.
Also written by a female in DA2. Lol. His personality must need a gay man to write him then, apparently.

Varric and Aveline are pretty normal and not insane.
... They're also not LI's, though. I'm not sure what that says.

Speaking of bias... Isabella is a theif who starts a war that almost destroys a city and Merrill is an obsessed blood mage who deals with demons.
I'd rather have more time with the LI and more character development than worry about what the pixels look like.

But this is back to personal preference. I found alluring qualities to Fenris, Cullen, Keran, Seamus and Nathaniel. In the grand scheme, I didn't find any ugliness. Heck, even the Viscount has sexy eyes.Satyricon331 wrote...
All/virtually all the men in the game are ugly. It's hard to judge Fenris given how great his voice is, though.

Does that really bear mentioning?
Well, alright. Some people are Platonists, etc. It's statistically unlikely any particular poster is, however, I don't always feel a need to exclude the possibility that I am, expressly in my posts.

I think it was your use of "all/virually all" that stood out and prompted me to comment.Satyricon331 wrote...

And yes, it's completely your opinion and perspective, Platonist or otherwise.

Hehe. That was just reflecting the issue my poor Hawke couldn't find anyone he wanted to bag. I would fall to chastity were I to move to Kirkwall.

The Blooming Rose isn't a secret club for cool people, I mean Gamlen can't rub two coppers together, yet he's there everyday probably getting his copper rubbed for him.
