Hey have some new designs for elven heads that I would like to make into an override to create my own beautification mod for NWN2, problem is I cant get the heads to work ... whenever I rename the heads, for instance I take custom head 90 ( P_EEF_Head90.mdb) and rename it to 01 (P_EEF_Head01.mdb), the head suddenly goes invisible....

To be clear I want to take custom heads and replace the standard ones in game with them. Can someone please explain how this can be done, I have 3dsmax 8, MDB cloner, and plenty of other tools, just need to know what I'm doing wrong...

how do you rename your models? if you just alter the name of the file then it won't work. you have to clone the model with mdb cloner and rename the mesh with the help of this tool, or just export it out of max with the correct name. afterwards the override folder should work. if it still vanishes, there's something wrong with your textures.

in that case pls post your mdb and the dds files.

btw welcome! there're too few polypushers left

Awesome that some more work is being done on heads. NWN2 definitely needs more variety there.

I was wondering too, if I could ask a question here. Would it be difficult for anyone to convert female tiefling heads over to half-elf female heads (half-elves have such badly made heads)? Someone else did the same with the male tief heads over to the male half-elf heads. As far as I understand, the horns are a part of the hair style model rather than the head, so I would think you wouldn't have to do any actual modelling at all?
