I posted in the general and it was suggested I post here.

Is there a way to pause the game during a cut scene? I have tried space bar and esc - neither works.

Thanks!

Hmm?  I never tried.  But I don't think so.  If there is, it will be the first time I ever heard of it being possible (I mean, in any game I know of, myself).

I missed a whole lot of a dialog when hubby came into my den and started talking to me LOL I would sure love a way to pause - thought maybe I missed something.

Thanks Gorath for the reply.

I replied in the other section, but I don't mind reposting.

I have the same problem you do mappam: a chatty lover who likes to talk to me when I'm playing video games... though gods help anyone who talks to *him* while he's playing Mount and Blade.

There is no way to pause the PC version of the game. Unfortunately. My workaround was to install FRAPS on my computer and record all dialogue to replay when the inevitable happens and dearie starts chattering away at me during cutscenes.

Please, BioWare powers that be, give PC players the luxury that console gamers have always enjoyed. Let us pause dialogue. Please?

@Gorath Alpha: NWN2 allowed you to pause dialogue mid-cutscene with the space-bar. If it was possible in 2007, why should it be so difficult now?

Interesting. I played that game. Never was aware of that option.

The system was not quite perfect, though it was very, very good. The audio portion of that line would still play with the game paused, though the lip-flappers worked like hitting ESC. By that I mean that if you hit the space bar, the line the NPC was currently speaking would play out but the lips would stop moving. When the game was unpaused and the next line came up, the next audio clip would begin and the next lip animations would play. It was a brilliant compromise, despite it's nigh-insignificant flaws.

Cannot actually pause during a cut scene, most folks use FRAPS to record it.

Thanks for the replies.

It would sure be a nice feature to add - for us players with chatty "others' in our household LOL!!
