Which version of C++ redistribtable is needed for ME2, those stuck topics doen't help.
Manual instal of C++ 2005 did not help either.

I have recently downloaded ME2 off of origin, however the C++ redistributable (I'm not sure which version) did not install, so when starting the game from the launcher, I recieve a "awc.dll load failed" error, and the game closes.
Which version of C++ redistribtable is needed for ME2, those stuck topics doen't help.
Manual instal of C++ 2005 did not help either.

2005 is the version that comes on the disk, so that version should work. You could try 2008 or 2010 from Microsofts website. If it still doesnt work, check the tech FAQ.
If you still have problems, then please register the game on the forums. This is not an accusation, but given the spate of users with illegally downloaded copies coming to the forums asking for help, forum registration is the only way we can be sure we are dealing with a legit copy. Illegally downloaded copies include hacked and modified files which could be either corrupt, or full of malware. Once its registered, we will be happy to help further. Forums Registration here;
