What is better choise for liara an wrex versus commando asari and benezia? what upgrade is better put to them?

It really depends on what you have at that point. Go with whatever has the best dr/shields.

I'd look for armor upgrades that improve "resistance" to biotic and high force attacks. I think it is the exo-skeleton upgrade, but not sure since I am not playing right now. Reduces the time that biotic and knockdown attacks affect them.
