Hi, I'm thinking of buying dragon age, and the rest of my system requirments seem to fit, but I need to know if it will work with my video card (which I cant upgrade). So I'd really appreciate anyone who could tell me if it would work with this horribly low video card of mine, thanks!
Will Dragon Age work with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series vid card?

It won't do so nicely at all. That is well below minimum, so at the lowest possible settings and low screen resolutions, there would still be jerkiness seen in the animation. It does meet the FEATURE requirements, but not enough PERFORMANCE.
If you are already playing ME2 right now with that atrociously bad GPU, you already know about how this game will look and act, although just slightly less burdensome for the little video card to stand up to (and you know you should run a cooling pad to keep the card from burning itself up, right?)
You might check the Toolset sections, in case anyone has created any mods that lighten the graphics load. I'm sure there could be some, I just haven't heard of them.

Thanks again gorath, Im fine with DAO looking like ME2 does, its just the crash to desktops that I dont want. You said it meets FEATURE requirments but not PERFORMANCE, Please could you explain what that means, as I dont know the difference.
Ill try to take a look at the toolset, but what's a cooling pad?
EDIT: justlooked for the toolset but couldnt find it, could you tell me where it is pls?

Features means it can do 3D shading and such. Performance is how fast it is capable of doing graphical rendering. In other words, your card is capable of rendering the game (some graphics cards are not) but it cannot do so fast enough to provide a smooth graphical experience even at very low settings.
There is a toolset forum below this one in the main forum where you might ask if anyone has seen such a mod. You could also check Dragonagenexus.com.

Crashing after a game is running for anything other than overheat or power supply brownout isn't usually hardware; crashing without ever starting, that often is hardware. If Mass Effect runs, so should Dragon Age: Origins. Not as well as it should, but your hardware isn't running Mass Effect correctly anyway. Any high intensity game will overwork laptops hard, and heat is bad for them. They don't have good built-in cooling. Laptop users frquently need to buy an external set of fans built into a "pad" that the laptop sits on to stay cool.Jafroboy wrote...

As Sami told you, your graphics card is just plain slow. It has LOW performance.
The game comes with its own toolset for building game mods, and there are 6-8 forums below these for the toolset people to swap messages in.
