I'm sure it would make for some interesting dialogue wheels.

"Shepard, are you feeling alright?"

Paragon: "I love the Reapers."
Neutral: "I love the Reapers."
Renegade: "I love the Reapers."
Investigate: "Why don't you love the Reapers?"

Definitly. Something along these lines was done in "The Sims 2" for PSP where you, the main character, gets hipnotized by the main villain, and when he triggers the mind control, all of you're "aspirations" or wishes are instantly changed to the current task he orders you to perform. If you do not oblige, you go insane.

Something like that would be interesting in ME3.

I think it would be more interesting if the player is presented with scenarios and decisions in which they believe they're fighting against the Reapers, but instead subtly stacking the odds in their favor or setting up a means by which the Reapers could achieve a decisive victory.

I was thinking that no matter what you do to the Collector base, it was furthering the Reaper cause. Basically, Bioware will write in a explanation as to why it helped Cerberus and, by extension, the Reapers.

It was a perfectly stupid plot twist to make Shepard sacrifice his life for Joker's stubbornness. Joker refused to quit the ship after Shepard gave an order. Shep ended up getting spaced cause he lost time saving Joker's stupid, arrogant and ungrateful ass.

After that it can get as stupid as possible, it hardly matters anymore. Reaper-tech implants getting activated in Shepard and making him work (sort of) in Repears' favor, one way or another? Or Shepard realizing he's become more of a Reaper than human and joining Reapers to persuade them to leave (but also leaving everyone behind, something like "I am part of the Reaper thing now, I'll make them leave but I have to leave too"). Why not.   :pinched:

If Indoctrination was implemented in the story it wouldn't remove player choices. You'd still have choices, it would just be presented in such a way that when the indoctrination reveal came about, your choices would be described as being part of the Reaper's plan.

Also, Shepard obviously wouldn't stay indoctrinated. There are going to be endings where the Reapers lose.

If well done it might work, but  I suspect many players say that kind of approach would being very similar to none of your choices mattering since in the end...........it was all the Reapers plan.

I'm not a big fan of pulling the rug out from under the player after 2 games and taking control from them. If they want plot twist, do that from the Reapers end of the story. Surprise us with what they are and what drives them to do this, ya know actually answer a fugging question before ending the series. Don't add the plot twists by essentially destroying the character we have played for years, and making them a puppet, bad mojo.

You're somewhat right :)  I just want Shepard to stay human, defeat Reapers, romance whoever (s)he wants and a happy end. No freaking surprising and unexpected twists regarding Shep's character, no indoctrination, no other Reapers-related BS, just no strings attached.

I'd accept Shepard playing indoctrinated to fool the Reapers. No clue where to fit it into the story though.

I just had a thought, what if the reapers were using Shepard like a homing beacon due to his implants?

That would mean the reapers could find any location he goes to. Him journeying across the galaxy to find allies to fight the reapers would lead the reapers right to the resistance, just like the reapers used indoctrinated Protheans to discover refuges. That would be a sure way to get Cerberus into a homicidal mood.

Anyhow, I do believe the technology used to bring back Shepard was reaper technology in part. Shepard's eyes (when not disguised) look just like the ones TIM gained from the reaper artificat, except a different color. The cracks in his skin remind me of Harbinger wh- ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL

I wouldn't be too annoyed if indoctrination became a problem, but if you're forced into it with no possibility of fighting it then I'll be very disappointed, it wouldn't essentially mean being able to make decisions in the first two games useless as the ending wouldn't be upto you.

-Object Rho's blast during Arrival. Getting hit full on by a Reaper artifact and being out for almost two days could have consequences. Or it could have just been a plot device to keep Shepard down.

Object Rho didn't knock you out for two days, it gave you a good whack but ultimately you were dragged to the lab while recovering from the daze and pumped full of sedatives for those two days.

I'd by it if he ends up having to fight indoctrination and some point, and wins....

ok so obviously alot of people are going with the possibility of indoctrination, im gonna jump on the band wagon. if it was true, i hope that its a situation where your paragon/renegade score has to be high enough to resist it. much like when morinth tries to mind rape you.
