Well, I got it to work and broke then got it to work then tried to update then broke again. =.= However I looked at the logs and this is the error I get but I'm not sure what file it's referring to. :/

ERROR: resource tã has a download server associated that does not exist in servers.xml.
ERROR: You must correct the preceding error before players can connect with autodownload enabled.

Anyone have any ideas? :3

edit your xml files. You had something in servers.xml which is now in downloadresources.xml or similar, but then its been removed from servers.xml.

If you add something, it works fine, however it does not have the capability to remove things. If you do so you have to remove that from the xml files. Or just delete the xml files and start over.

Note: this is a lot easier to do in directory mode.

Damn in the XMLs I see the download hash but they're in hashed form. <.< So I'm not sure which one to remove or fix. so I just did the latter and delete the XMLs which is ...

Campaign Directory
campaigndownloaderresources.xml

Module Directory
servers.xml
moduledownloaderresources.xml

And that was all I found that were XMLs and restaged the server files which it remade the XMLs it gave the same error as before. :/

Er nevermind that post, it seems after I deleted the XMLs. I have to re-prepare all the files again and then restage. The XML files they made were empty.

did you reboot the server, copy things over, make sure the server is using the latest just created versions.

Is "Ta" it is noting, is that something in particular. Seems an odd name. It is likely in moduledownloadresources.xml, and it should have a server it is using listed on it's row.

Yep rebooted the server, copied it over with a clean install. Meaning I deleted the entire folders before i copied it over.

Yeah it's weird I'm not sure what it means. I remade the XMLs completely new. I deleted all the XML from the original directory. So I had to reenter all the information. Just to make sure. Restaged it completely again.

I looked over the XML again when it gave me that same error but it was all hashed I couldn't read it but I tried to do a search with resource as a name but nothing came up. :/

you need to post your log from your client, the log from your server, (both are found in the %temp% folder) and the various xml files involved.

It's too gigantic to post but here's a sample of the beginning. <.<

Their different times cause the server is in another time zone but it's weird in the client section all the options are different then the server is it supposed to be like that? Or maybe I pulled the wrong one. The client is from nwclientlog1.txt on my computer and the other is nwserverLog1.txt from the server. All other text files are blank and the directory for this is ... C:\\Documents and Settings\\[User Name]\\Local Settings\\Temp\\NWN2\\LOGS.0

Also the only file I could find that is even related to the error "resources" is the resource.dat file which is located in the campaign folder on my dev computer. when I staged it, it never listed the file in the server files. The campaign folder in stage/server had everything except for the resource.dat ... Eventually I just copied and and put it in the campaign folder on my remote server. Same error though. I also checked the campaign download xml and it only listed campaign.cam so resource.dat was never meant to be downloaded anyway I think. <.<

I went over the moduledownloaderresources.xml looking at the <server-ref> and they are all set to 0 in that xml which is the default server according to the server.xml.

Sigh.

sounds like a bug

one thing that looks odd is on this line

<serverlist xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/20...chema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" defaultServer="0" nextServerId="2">

you have nextServerId="2"

i have nextServerId="1"

does not seem like the issue though, nothing else pops out at me. That makes me think you had more than one server at some point.

I'd think you have the wrong files on the server, or the ini configuration is not correct, or it does not bother downloading anything since you already have it.

Yeah I did the FTP server. :P But I actgually remade it from scratch with the server removed odd that they put it in but hmm. I'll just try and make it identical to my comp then. I originally used the prepare stage server files for the server I'll just copy over everything. =.=

Should I even stage the server files? I don't think it does anything for me.

I just copy it all over, staging does indicate where things go however which can be helpful.

*Cough cough* I found the problem. When I transferred the files over the first time. The files suddenly disappeared. I note however that the remote server window's FPS is very low. So I lose alot of what happens. XD

Well all the files were in override folder. x.x So deleted that and it worked. SIGH. Thanks for the help pain as always. =P
