Tevinter Imperium. Its the only interesting nation with such a unique and rich history that's been built on magic for over 2000 years. Magic is power in that country, and I want to play a elven mage there.

Ugh, is DA2 really gonna be in Orlais? I want something different. I can no longer stand the French or the Chantry. The only way I can forgive this is if I can kill the current Divine and maybe Templars too. If they're anything like Kirkwall templars.

Sadly it'll be in Orlais. But Id love to see Par Vollen and the Imperium. Wish it could be an origin story or something.

If I'm not mistaken, and as I remember from Bodahn talking about Sandal's future and what-not from Act III. Didn't he say that Sandal was going to be going to Orlais to work for the Empress, because the Empress liked one of his Enchantments? If that's the case, then we're heading to Orlais in DA3.

Yep, he sure did. Plus, all the talk about Orlais being in turmoil.

I wouldn't mind eventually going where the qunari are either, but Antiva with all the assassins and the political maneurings sounds like fun.

I'm very curious about the Tevinter Imperium and Antiva. Also, it'd be cool to visit the Anderfels. I want to walk up to the First Warden and be like "tell me everything you know about the darkspawn and Flemeth right now" ^_^

Edit: but yeah if Sandal is heading to Orlais, then that's where DA3 is taking place...what with the prophecy and all.

I just hope that wherever it is set it is more aesthetically pleasing than Kirkwall, and that they don't plan on making us a chantry seeker.....

Personally, I'd like to visit the Anderfels or Tevinter. However, I assume that Dragon Age 3 will take place in Orlais, which is probably my third choice.

Rivain and Antiva sound fun, too. Or Ferelden again?

Yeesh. I'm so easy to please.

I assume that they're still devout, and rather conservative about things like mages' rights, but I'm hoping that they're slightly less, erm, insane and violent. With Kirkwall practically built on a hellmouth . . . well, it's not surprising that every psychotic templar and budding blood mage for miles resides there.

I would like to see Tevinter just to get a flavour of it first hand rather than through the experiences of others, because I like playing mages but up to now have not really had any desire to be like the Tevinter mages.  On the whole the ones you meet outside of the country are not likely to be the best examples, unless on a diplomatic mission, in which case being politicians you can't judge by appearances.  For same reason I would quite like to go to Orlais and hopefully get the real version of the Chantry rather than the warped version we were presented with in Kirkwall.  Also Leliana and others went on about how glorious Val Royoux was, so would like to see it.  Linking the two together on a quest to discover the true teaching of Andraste - because right back in Origins we were told that the Chant of Light had been altered from the original, and the Chantry faith originated in Orlais, but also the first ruling person to adopt the teachings of Andraste was meant to have been the archon in Tevinter.

I really like the codex entries for the Andersfels, it sounds really wild and ferocious. So that's my first choice.

My second would be Nevarra, also because of the codex entry in Dragon Age 2, it sounds like a place filled with art and beauty, with a side of morbidness. It would make for some gorgeous scenery I think!

I'm very curious about Tevinter but i'm not sure i want to go there after Kirkwall , specially if we get to play Hawke , he/she needs something less gloomy after the whole mess in the Free Marches.

I might enjoy Orlais if we go there to find some mysteries about the chantry , like a quest for knowledge or something.
Besides things are changing in DA ,with the templars /mages war , some country might be falling apart.I know Orlais have some chevalier , but if the templars were their biggest army/force ,there could be a civil war going on.

I very much doubt this. Kirkwall is probably unique in that regard.

I'm actually most interested to see Rivain. Not only is it at the edge of human territory and supposedly a very different nation that most of the other ones the fact that it's apparently something of a cultural crossroads makes it sound like a fascinating place. From what I understand, not only is it ruled by local hedge witches but also the Chantry, the Qun, the Dalish and pirates all have a presence in different parts of the region. It sounds like a place of contradictions, which makes it an interesting country to see, imo..

Tevinter Imperium sounds cool but then I'm sure much of it would be about Fenris.

I think they should do a side expansion, "The Adventures of Isabela" she would take her ship and leave Kirkwall and it would be about what she does when she leaves. She is one of the most interesting and I think popular characters in DA2.
Do the Qunari chase her or track her down? Does she go steal some other very important item? Does she get pregnant? LOL
Does she run into a sibling or parent currently holding a high position in another city?
Would also be cool to have some quests occur on her boat or have it serve as homebase.
They could say Hawke decided to tag along so he would still be in everything and it would still be a real Dragon Age expansion and not have to stray from what they've built on.

What does everyone think? Do any mods or developers read these? If so, would be cool if this was past on ;-)

I'm interested in Nevarra, Rivain, Seherron, and Orlais.

Nevarra and Rivain is so I can see how they handle their mages.

Seherron because I am honestly curious about Qunari culture outside of the military arms we have only seen.

And Orlais because I want to see how that country is actually governed from the inside, and not from second hand knowledge coming from people who had lived there.

Yes, but what about their Knight-Commanders and Grand Cleric's? How do they interact with the mages and First Enchanters? Is it about neutrality, or do we see more of Meredith or more of Greigor? What is the more popular take on magic throughout Thedas?

We have seen one extreme in Fereldan with a Knight-Commander working with the mages and doing his job by trying to keep his men in line (sending Cullen away). Then we see the other extreme in Kirkwall where abuse is rampant, no subordinates are investigated for crimes against mages, and Cullen is made Meredith's second within months of arriving there.

Which is the more popular opinion of handling magic throughout Thedas? I think in Nevarra we would have a broader understanding because Nevarra has been able to repel Orlais, even if it did accept the Chantry.

Rivain or Antiva. Even Tevinter. Much cooler. I also want to see Kal Shirok to see how the "other" dwarves live and survive.
