I can't wait to play Morrigan. She looks so Viconia-esque: sarcastic, witty, and most of all evil mwahaha

Do you think she will live up to Viconia's aura of awesome? B)

BTW, can't wait to see Morrigan's interraction with Oghren, hope for some similarities with "Vico" and Korgan.  PS sorry if this has been done before.

I do not recall ever thinking of Viconia as particularly sarcastic or witty, except perhaps for her few interactions with Jan. Is my mind playing tricks on me?

Morrigan isn't evil... Just misunderstood.

+ she hates templars, how can you be evil if you hate templars?

Agreed, Viconia's sprite is even hotter than Morrigan too.

Viconia, ALL DAY LONG.

I have high hopes for Morrigan, but only time will tell (three more days, sigh). It will be tough to dislodge Viconia from that special place in my heart considering she's voiced by the awesome Grey DeLisle.

I never really liked that tart viconia, the reject from the underdark. I never grouped with her or the evil human mage (edwin?) much.

Only thing witty or funny about viconia was watching her about to be burned to death.

oh well shara forgive me

Dude, edwin was the second funniest character next to minsc.

Not to mention the most powerful mage you could have on your team.

Viconia: Haer'Dalis, I blame you for this damnably hummable song playing again and again in my head, over and over.  You are really quite a marvelous tunesmith, not to mention a clever mimic and talented mime. Have you any new and lewd burlesque tunes that you might regale me with, musician?
Haer'Dalis: Viconia, do you truly think that because you are bewitching in appearance and have the throaty voice of the most expensive courtesan in King Wingding's House of Earthly delights...and a body built for untold pleasures that I would fall for such an old ploy? Blow a little sunshine and I will fall all over myself to gain your favor? Best think again, dark one.
Viconia: Men better than you have walked across lava to kiss a dog who's licked my hand, actor. You're a dreamer, bard. I'm sure you can imagine lots of wonderful scenes... but they would not exceed the truth in intensity, depravity or tenure, I assure you.
Haer'Dalis: Ah... er... pardon me for a moment whilst my head implodes.

Ah, Viccy by a long shot for me. :D

Wasn´t her brother thrown into the Nether Pits, consisting of quite a few murderous spiders? :o

I think Morrigan will be more interesting to me. Not because Viconia wasn't cool- she was. But if you were female- you missed out on her best content. With friendship paths- I am hoping to know more about Morrigan, understand her better and maybe perhaps even have a bond with her- if possible.

Things I could never do with Viconia.

If you never played with her, why would you comment on her?

Assuming you appreciate that particular type of humour, yes. He is one of my favourite companions as well, but I used to go through BGII with a pretty stock party, exchanging mechanical superiority for personality as the selection grew (I never did like Korgan much but I'd always bring him because he's such a beast).

From what I've seen so far, I'd have to say Viccy. She's my favorite female NPC from Baldur's Gate. And we shared an intense dislike of Aerie.

I know. Awkward mods where she spoke about my muscular chest. I didn't want to romance her. I don't think the best content should be romance specific.

I'll probably stand alone on this, but.......Aerie was awesome. Something just really sexy about how innocent she always acted while she was raining down absolute destruction. Her being a mage/cleric was insane good fun, and filled two slots with one npc. Plus, taking her and Korgan was always good for a laugh.

I loved Jan Jansen with his never-ending stories that started about a dragon, and ended up talking about vegetables, him and Edwin was a great couple :D

And I loved Viconia too :P

Aerie's lack of appeal (for me) came not from her innocence/naivete, but from her whining and melodramatic displays. She gets better about it later, and by ToB she's tolerable, but the whole helpless female act grates.

In bg2 edwin cant be a party member, he starts the quest with the harpers who want the Pc  imprisoned. As for Viconia , its clear that I've have grouped with her, you didnt understand the shara comment?

I felt sorry for her and liked her ok until I tried her romance.  When in competetion with Jaheira, she seemed to be really manipulative and it turned me off.  She's an interesting character and I don't hate her, but her personality just didn't mesh with me.

Edwin most certainly is a party member in BG2, after you complete the thief stronghold quest line, and there's even a (really cute) mod to give a female PC the chance to romance him.;)
