I still have to do Tali's loyalty mission, and I have not questioned Legion about his loyalty mission to start it.  I'm guessing that after I do Tali's, Legion's will activate, and I can do both before the IFF is ready, right?  I mean, I honestly think Legion's loyalty quest triggers it.  I've read other forums and that seems to be the case too.

Oh, so you haven't had the crew abducted yet.

I've read that you could do a few missions before the abduction occurs.

And I think, you don't need each member of your squad to be loyal for the SM, for the unloyal to survive it, from what I've read, also.

Tali will die if you dont get her loyalty up because she is the weakest squadmate and WILL die if she is left to hold the line. Take her with you and dont assign her to any job....that goes for all your unloyal team members. Same goes for the "hold the line part".

You will have one or two missions after the IFF mission  so it is possible to get both loyaltys up but if you dont have tali's mission then do hers first.

No, not how it works.  She's not even the first priority for getting killed there.  That's Mordin.  Anyway, you just have to leave some good defenders there.  See the sticky topic.  We've known exactly how the SM mission works for ages now.

Oh, and taking an unloyal Tali with you to the last boss? Yeah, great advice: that's a guaranteed death.  You don't take unloyal people there unless you want them to die.

you can do 2 missions after getting the IFF, i left Tali's loyalty for last to bring legion with her so after doing tali's I did legion's and then crew got collected, then i went to the rescue

No, you only get to do one mission after the IFF since the crew will get abducted after you complete it. If you start doing missions after that happens then they will start dying.

No, otherwise you could avoid doing his loyalty quest and have time to do whatever you want.

Basically, you have one free mission just after the IFF. You will get Legion's loyalty mission straight away (and if you want the golden ending, you're supposed to use this opportunity to do his loyalty mission). When you have completed one mission after getting the IFF, the Collectors hit. After that, (I think) you have one additional free mission before people start dying.

If you have 1 or more loyalty or recruitment missions left, it is 2 free missions before crew abduction( enough to bring Legion on Tali LM).

If you did everything then only 1 for Legion unless you get near galaxy map before activating Legion. Then crew will be abducted once you click on the map.

Admittingly I have never taken a squadmate into the collector base unloyal. However I have noticed that with every upgrade and everybody loyal tali still dies everytime I leave her to defened the door. I have to ether take her with me during the main boss fight or let her take the normandy crew back to the ship. She dies...every...single...time and Mordin does not.

Well I havent't gotten his yet, and I still have to do Tali's.  I mean that they will give you a chance to do a quest or two MAYBE before his, or a loyalty mission before his.

As Marshall-Matters indicated in the thread already, what you want to is completely doable, as they have already done it. I have to. Go do Tali's mission, then when you come back, go talk to Legion right away, and you are fine. The only way to mess things up is to try and activate the galaxy map without getting the quest from Legion first. In that case, the abduction will trigger, and you'd be stuck.

I always leave Tali's mission last so I can bring Legion to the trial, so yes you can do them both before the ship gets raided.

I just played this part again now.

I finished the IFF so all I needed to get was Samara's Loyalty and Legion's.

I finished Samara's Loyalty mission and THEN LEGION'S loyalty mission activated. I couldn't do it immediately. But the crew hadn't been abducted anyway.

I think after this mission they will though. So yeah, two missions I think.

That's what I assumed. It makes for a fun end to the loyalty missions, and I enjoy taking Tali on Legion's as well. Makes it feel like they are each learning a little something about each other. And Tali is already the biggest geth expert around.
