Went to EA live support asking for assistance in getting access to the American webiste in Enlgish in dollars that Steam provides but EA does not provide and this is the discussion:

They immediately cut me off and took away this dfiscussio when I said I would be posting it, they didn'tr know I had already copied it.

you might find its the ISP which changes the region its in euros beacuse the traffic goes to the ISP which is in europe. you can use a proxxy to get round it however  for instance if you rented a proxy server in germany the google page will default to .de

thats probably why it defaults to euros, you could rent a basic proxy for practically nothing in the US so your traffic goes to there that will give you the region for the steam store page.
