So ME3 will likely feature a couple of romance scenes. And here I think ME1 and ME2 were quit different. ME1 the scens where short and the camara was near revealing some parts of flesh and causing a lot of free publicity thanks to fox. In ME2 the camera was further out revealing both characters however they still had most of their clothes on. (To me this looked weird)

So I'm asking witch game did you prefer.

ME1 cause im a huge perv and I liked looking at my shepard's bum. ME2 had many different romance scenes so they couldn't detail them as much as 1.

ME1 had the better scenes, IMO, but ME2 actually had some variety where ME1 only reskinned the otherwise identical scene.

In my opinion i prefer the Mass Effect 1 scenes because it was more romantic and the characters actually had intercourse even tough they were short they were fun to watch, but Mass Effect 2 had a variety of scenes they all seemed shorter like less than a minuete long, the characters would hug each other and then the scene would end i was expecting way more i really hope they step it up in Mass Effect 3

Mix of the two for ME3? Some relaxing eye candy before the eye sore of destruction.

I prefer the ME1 scenes better myself. However, given how the love scenes in both ME and DA have gotten more "tame" with their "newer" installments, it's unfortunately safe to assume that ME3 will probably having something cheesy like, another Garrus headbump and then fade to black for all LIs. And, if we're really lucky, BioWare may throw in some fable style bed squeaks and grunts lol. Ok, definately not the last part but it'd be funny regardless XD

^ I think you're right about tame scenes. I don't know if the s/s LI is true (I didn't read the thread btw, just the title. There's Liara + femShep already... of course, one can argue Asari are monogender but BW shot it down in the ME2 codex) but it will not go down well in some countries. *BAN!* Not good if BW wants ME3 to sell better than its predecessors.

I only first played Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 recently, after I had played The Witcher 2 and read reviews and forum posts saying TW2 was better than ME2. So I went to examine for myself. Mass Effect 2 is a very well put together game, but The Witcher 2 does have better love scenes, they are more immersive and very R rated. Also TW2 doesn't ask the player to chose between LIs; you can do'em all. One thing I didn't like about both games is the contemporary morality political oversight. Mass effect series didn't include any same sex relationships (besides Liara) and really focuses too much on monogamy. The Witcher 2 eliminated their same sex interactions before release, further, the recent patch replaced textures related to Islamic cultures. Seriously, I do not like such political pandering in my games, especially single player RPGs, which are supposed to be an art form. I'm over 30 and want my adult entertainment to be free of censorship and restriction.

For the record, I really enjoyed both ME2 and TW2, I can't pick one as better than the other.

Thanks for the reminder about TW. I have the first one but only reached the city before I stopped and never did get back to it. There are some features about the game I didn't like but the story was interesting but still not enough of a motivation to complete it.  TW2, I did think of getting it before I read the reviews. From estatic (seems to be more about eye candy) to downright frustrations from players. Hard to decide but I think one of their complaints about combat difficulties could be right which will be difficult for those looking to breeze through on the first playthrough to know the story and get a feel of the gameplay before trying more difficult settings.

That's what I like about BW. At least the settings in their game performed as they were meant to do. I don't much care if teh devs want to have skin/no skin for the intimates scenes but I do care that I can see where the story will lead to without having to mush buttons, etc.

My Shepard stayed loyal to Ash & kept it in his pants for all of ME2. I'd better get to see something for my trouble in 3.

I'd actually would like it if ME3 would depict the romance scenes like Projekt Red did in TW2. Of course this isn't really in the cards (BW never has been this...uhh...r-rated in their games) -but I at least hope that ME3 romance scenes will be closer to ME1 than ME2.

Recently BW seems to get overly political correct with the romance scenes (DA2, ME2, LotSB) -without any good reason imo. I hope they don't spiral down further on that trend.

I'm hoping for that as well but I'm a pessimist so I'm expecting Bioware to continue down that dark path.

Yeah I wouldn't want a romance scene where they keep their clothes on, altough having recently replayed the final mission as john Marston in Red dead redemtion, you can still go pretty romantic without picturing sex.
That said I still want to see Tali's butt and face, like you could see Liara's in ME1

I thought ME1 was more sensual than the scenes in ME2...so I'm hoping for something like ME1.

I want something of a mix for Mass Effect three. The tender scenes of Mass Effect 1, with the variety in said scenes that Mass Effect 2 had.

I remember hearing a tweet from one of the developers that the Mass Effect 3 Love scenes would be more "pants appropriate".

I love ME1 better. I blame FOX for getting in a twist about it when we've seen worse on daytime television. One thing I think needs work is the kissing animations. It still looks really stilted when two characters heads go close together and just bobble around.

Also, the other romance options need to be developed more. The Liara romance is the only one that's seen any serious development & continuity throughout the series.

ME1 : Sideboob
ME2 : Dry humping through clothes.

I would like to see a return of the ME1 style. Theres no need to go Witcher/God of War style. I'll visit certain websites if I want my love scenes that intense.

I'm not sure I understand what that means. "More pants appropriate". as in no more ludicrous fully dressed love scenes, I'm assuming.

I'm hoping that the romances will have more....emotion. More emotional connection b4 the deed, and/ or deeds. That's what seemed to be lacking in ME2, an emotional..build up. And a romance that's built into the story. I mean, there should be some kinda recognition outside of the cut scene itself that these two are romantically involved.

Even after the deed, neither ME1 or ME2 played different. Or had some kinda of character interaction that suggested they were involved. It was SOS. Even lil things like say Shepard is talking to some Asari...and Asari seem to love them some Shepard...and the Asari hits on Shepard, the LI should have some response, even if it's mild.

Actually tho, in ME 1 right at the beginning. There was a scene w/ my femshep and Kaidan at the Citadel during the scenic view. This was the first time he let it slip that he was interested in Shepard. After that we were talking to the Consort. Shep asked her what she did, and she replied, "...yada, yada..and others I give comfort to." She looked over her shoulder at Shep and paused while saying this (cuz again, those Asari are apparently a Shepard loving species).

Outta nowhere Kaidan jumps in all scrunchy faced and says , "Yeah, well whataya want." Rude as hell. lol Other times I saw the Consort b4 the Citadel observation cut scene and...nada.

Point being in this tl;dr post is that I like that. Instead of some weird isolated we did the deed thing. Integrate it, establish an emotional connection. Oh, and ME1 love scene was way better.
