Also, if there are no options at launch, would it be possible to mod it/add it later?
Thanks in advance

Even if the mods changed the in-game content, the CG won't be un-bloodable, however.

Have you ever seen someone major artery punctured? You have this thing called 'blood pressure' for a reason, and it sprays violently if large enough incision is made on a larger artery.

If you are going to play a game involving the evisceration of blighted creatures, which holds a solid M rating, why bother? Whether the gore is red, green, blue, or non-existent doesn't change the fact that you just crushed that guys head in with a mace instead of a flower..
Very well said.

The key here is "pressure." There are very few places in the body the pressure is actually high enough to create these blood fountains. Seen Kill Bill? Yeah, that's not real.The_Odyssey wrote...
Comical?

I am here for a quality RPG, not a horror flick. If you there is a gore toggle/mod, then everyone wins.

A lot of people agree with you (including me), there was a rather big thread about it in the toolset forum.digitalforceq wrote...
I am not here to debate what it is right or wrong but don't even make me list the COUNTLESS games that were awesome games but didn't have fountains of blood to make it awesome. Also, I am not about censorship, I am about OPTIONS.

So you can be almost certain that if there is no gore option ingame, there should be a mod that adds one relatively soon (depending on how difficult it would be to implement).

Fairly simple, actually. All you would have to do is replace the sprites used for the gore/bloodspray with confetti and sparkles. Should only take a few minutes in the toolset, concievably.

There should be a toggle that allows you to tone down the blood, gore and violence during the game in the game's menu or control options. A dev. from Bioware did confirm this, although I can't seem to find the exact quote at the moment.
Yeah, if there is any official quotes from Bioware or anything, that would be awesome. I've already seen enough of the "toughen up/gore rocks" replies...
I respect the artists' and everyone in this forum opinions. Please respect mine.

But as said before, there is a reason why the game is mature.

That is why a toggle is best if possible. Call of Duty: WaW has it. Hell's Highway has it. Diablo III will have it.
