I wasn't aware of it until long after it had already ended, but Millennium was a pretty good show that got axed too soon.

Flash Gordon from 2007 on Scifi. Its first season wasn't great but I think that show had a lot of potential.

I liked charmed up till the end of season 3 and the whole death of Pru due to in fighting between two of the actresses. Stopped watching after that. The series totally sucked afterwards.

I know the writer who wrote the Xmas episode...Midnight of the Century.

That was a GREAT show during Season One and Two...I think while Season 3 was good, the qualiy fell.

Also...ever notice you haven't seen anymore shows from the creator of The X-Files and Millennium?

Turns out he is a hack and a one note wonder...most of everyone under him became more successful.

Angel could've benefited with a 6th season

It could have, but the finale they had was one of the best ways to end a series that I've ever seen.

Firefly - but I'm guessing that someone said it earlier. I'm also going to agree about Millennium.

Firefly, Farscape, Wonderfalls and Angel for a start. Firefly is the big disappointment but Farscape has a special place in my heart and I really feel that they had another season to really finish it off but thank god for all those fans who got the mini-series going.

I enjoyed "Charmed" after that. I liked Prue, but in a way her death revitalized the show. It was still pretty fun through to season five. After that they started to lay on the silliness a bit too thick with all the pop culture spoofs. I did enjoy season six's plot with their trying to prevent Wyatt becoming evil; although some of the individual episodes were pretty goofy. The show *really* lost steam afterwards, though. That said, the finale did give me closure.

That is more than I can say for "Angel", which was canceled before it ever hand a chance to reach a fulfilling conclusion. And no, the comics are not a suitable replacement. After reviewing this thread, I see there are a lot of shows that slipped my mind. Just goes to show how ruthless networks are in cancelling programs, and the great job I've done in blocking out memories of disappointment.

How about Justice League Unlimited? When I think about how complicated/mature the show was and how young I was so into it... I can't believe I never really saw those "adult themes" that not even an adult cartoon today carries.

I know it wasn't canceled per se, just discontinued, but Oz needed about 999999999 more seasons instead of that lame, forced, anti-climatic excuse of ending.
