Movies aren't the best example because most of them are made so that they can easily be enjoyed as standalone films.
Not to mention there are these handy things called the Googlez and Wikis. The experience isn't the same, obviously, but the info is there for the taking.

Im just don't understand how people can believe his bs about the last in a trilogy being the perfect point to start, just because they haven't played ME before doesn't make them retarded.

A lot of people (mainly PS3 gamers) have not played the first one and Bioware said that ME2 was a great place to start as well. Look how that turned out. ME3 is the worst place to start. The biggest part of the ME series was "Role-playing" and having characters that you come to know and love as the series went on. Not to mention a build up to one of the most anticipated villains in gaming history. New gamers are not going to have that awe about the villains or the game as a whole. The people who have not palyed and enjoyed the other two games are not going to have a deep experience as the game intends.........That is the aspect of ME........"deep experience".
ME3 is the absolute worst spot to start!
