Bioware is not letting new people into the club. They are kicking the current members out. That's all fine and dandy, but they insist on demeaning those old members for being pissed about being kicked out. "We're not kicking you out Superman, we're just making everything out of krytonite from here on out. But you're welcome to stay." Give me a break.

That's a little melodramatic, mister Kryptonite.  :):):)  The DA2 formula was plenty of fun.  It's the DAO die hards that are refusing to accept change.  BioWare is holding the door open to something new and exciting and the so called "real fans" are demanding it be their way or no way.  It doesn't work that way.

It's not like Bioware is going to trick the CoD crowd into playing DA2 and then switch back to DA:O style game and expect to keep these supposed CoD fans who may have liked DA2, but not Origins. You CAN NOT please everyone. They're not "widening their audeince", they are aiming to replace the old audience with a whole new audience.

There is no CoD crowd.  There are just gamers.  There is also no DAO crowd...  after all where are all the other games like DAO?  There aren't any.  There's no market for them beyond nostalgia.

Actually, as the one true purveyor of facts, I can say with authority that DA2 is, in fact, the greatest game of all time, which might only possibly be surpassed by DA3 when it comes out, or other future DAs down the line.

I hope you're being sarcastic, at least slightly so. They will accept change... by not buying future DA games (or Bioware games period). Nobody has to buy Bioware's crap games. DA2 sales showed that much. That is the only logical outcome. Sorry, but that isn't "expanding our audience." It's replacing it. Time will tell if the new audience will be as profitable. If DA2 sales were any indication, probably not. And what sales (and pre-orders) they did make were on the coattails of Origins. Only time will tell.

No market for them? As far as I know DA:O was very successful.

You know there is a lot of self importance going around in this thread.

And I think we've hit the limits of this thread's useful discussion.

Lots of circular arguments and 'your opinion is wrong' by both sides.
