Human are center stage in the ME galaxy, being the youngest guyson the block. ME also touches on what makes humans strong, we are tenacious, calculating and we may not be like Krogans we are good in a fight. We are genetically diverse and socially dependent and adaptable. The other ME races seem to crowed together and human seem to be seen everwhere and by themselves. Heck the Blue Suns was started by a human and the galaxy was saved twice (sort of) so far by a human. Oh and Shepard holds the galactic kill streak record over 300,000 so notch that up to a human. Were not super but we're good and what we do.

Personally I don't want humans to be special because of western ideology.
We tend to use everything (environment, other living organisms etc.) to further the advancement of our own species without truly giving back. Especially after America went through the great depression. :s
That and I appreciate organisms that are more specialized than humans - but they're all dying out since they don't rely on numbers to secure their existence. There are a lot of things happening on our planet due to us trying to achieve standards of living that expand beyond our reach. Which harms others in the process.
Just my opinion though.
