Any word if this achievement might be revamped or fixed in the upcoming DLC?

Where you just blowing through the game each time you played? Last time I played I finished with a higher percent then 94 and still didn't get it. I'm actually at the point I'm trying to see if I can beat the game under a certain time, because I'm so sick and tired of investing huge amounts of time too this game for just one achievement. I can honestly say due to this achievement I may not buy the DLC and am extremely worried about Mass Effect 2.

5 times i tried to get the achivement, but then i followed a guide and done as many quests that i could take that open up new areas like opening ozarmmer chantry ,mage quests which open alot of new areas, blackstone irregulars opend some but not alot i found human gives the most % out of any of them for the origin, and i spent about 3 hours looking for random events including the quest with wynne that people seem to miss out. However i gota say i think its completly random the amount of % you get for something as the guide i used the guy had 97% at the end and i followed the guide like a relgion and had only 94% and i done more than him,

Here's something to think about. This is just an assumption though but I think the achievement has less to do with the percent number and more to do with the actual unlocking of the areas. Those areas that only give you the "Area Unlocked" message, this includes Highever, and that it has to be done in one play through, meaning that you have to do it starting as a Human Origin.

Here's why I think this:

My friend and I started the game around the same time. He chose the Human Noble Origin while I chose the City Elf Origin. We made roughly same decisions throughout the game and went to the same areas and chose not to do the stealing quests or the Antivan crows quest. At the end of the game, he got the Traveler achievement while I did not. He was at 92%-93% while I was 94%-95%. So I believe that origin has something to do with it.

So, try again to get the achievement as a Human Noble is the only thing I can think of. The only other difference I can think of was I got myself thrown in prison, he did not. So, I do not think that counts either. But, I will let you guys know since I'm doing my second play through as a Human Noble. I assume the achievement isn't carried over or it would have unlocked the moment I stepped in Highever and it didn't, but I can be wrong...

Anyway, I hope this helps.

The area of expored % doesn't matter The areas you need to go to are...

Redcliffe - Blacksmith
Redcliffe - Dwyn's Home
Redcliffe - Kaitlyn's House Downstairs
Redcliffe - Kaitlyn's House Upstairs
Redcliffe - Tavern
Redcliffe - General Store

Denerim - The Pearl (Brothel)
Denerim - Gnawed Noble Tavern
Denerim - The Wonders of Thedas
Denerim - The Warden's Cache (back area of the warehouse)
Denerim - Wade's Blacksmith Shop
Denerim - Dark Alley
Denerim - Dirty Back Alley
Denerim - Rundown Back Street
Denerim - Deserted Building
Denerim - Orphanage

Lothering - Dane's Refuge

Village of Haven - Villager's House
Village of Haven - Village Shop

Orzammar - Figor's Imports
Orzammar - Proving Grounds
Orzammar - Shaperate
Orzammar - Alimar's Emporium
Orzammar - Janar's Armorer's

Fort Drakon - Final Rooftop Boss Battle

Some how I was always missing the tavern in Redcliffe. To anyone wondering ...yes... these all must be hit in one playthough. The ach will pop as soon as you open the door to the rooftop with the archdemon.

Oh also I ended the game at only 88%  areas explored

I see a lot of people talking about the travelers achievement pops when you hit these key locations, but it would be cool if we could get some xbox360 people to sign off on this. I mean if three xbox360 people said "yes I went to all these locations and said to hell with everything else and got the achievement" that would be cool.

I've given up all hope for Bioware and Dragonage...I didn't sell my game(spent too much like a dumb fan would) but it's collecting more dust than my PS1 in the basement. Shame shame.

w00t finally got the travelers achievement now. I followed the guide posted above and went to those locations. I said to hell with everything else and just speed through the game didn't do any side quest other then the denerim chantry board quest for back ally quests. I finished the game with 83% world explored and only 17hrs22mins played. I was a jerk to everyone didn't try to get anything just did what I had to do. One little thing I want to point out and if someone who has got the achievement yet could back this up. On this play through under my Pary Accomplishments(party stats) page it says i've completed 100% of DAO, where on my other play throughs I only had 90,91,92,ect percent. I want to throw out the idea that is it possible that this achievement does carry over through playthroughs and by completeing 100% of the game in fact means you've gone everywhere in the game?

Yes, I went to all those places and got the achievement my first time through. I was really thorough in that game (looking for secrets), and I really think I did go everywhere possible, so it's possible there are places not on that list that also count.

You dont have to enter every building as that is not recognised as an "area". Areas are the locations that come up on the map, i.e the main storyline areas. Buildings are locations not areas. You might be missing the Kaden Fe mercaneries, which you get from Master Ignacio in Denerim market place

I am visiting the places of the list and looking the % after & before I entry. So many places does not count for traveler. For example: Dwyin´s House, Kaitlyn´s House (1 & 2 floor), Redcliffe Tavern, Redcliffe General Store, and many more in other locations. Has anybody a real list for this chalenge? As soon as posible I will write my own list. Loking the % after & before entry a place.

I did every possible side mission, every possible every thing and i got jack crap! this is the only achievement left and I am playin as a dwarf noble...imma re-load a save to see if going back to places I have already visited might register the appropriate marker to signal the brain dead 360 to give me what is my rightfully mines. BTW food for thought, its no surprise to any one that Dragon Age while a great game is still marred with horrendous bugs and glitches. I have experienced just about every bug with my game, and I am just putting this out there but could it also be that since so many people did the "right thing" myself included, to get this achievement and it still did not register. that just maybe the game is severely bugged with this achievement and its just not technically possible to get for some people?

Did it at last. I deleted the game and re-instaled again and when I got the roof BANG. This game has lots of data and maybe (this is what I thing, after 5 rounds) some parts are not well enought instaled. So you delete and when you re-instal again must be working properly. I got this achievement with 94%.

I am hoping to get some information as to how this achievement is unlocked.  I have completed the game multiple times and unlocked and visited every location on multiple playthroughs.  What exactly do you need to do to unlock this achievment?

There are a few sites out there with suggestions, however none of these seem to do the trick.  Is this related to the percentage stats in the codex?

Thanks in advance.

I discussed this last night with my son who has the acheivement , x360.  I think the accessed area prompts with codex entry and the percentage stat for game complete are two slightly different things. This is done by all main quests including human noble, the warden stash in denerim and the antivian crow quest.  Otherwise every location on the Main Ferelden, Denerim City Maps, in one playthrough.  This would make sense as he has a percentage complete stat of 91%.  I certainly dont think you have to access all houses etc, etc, for the traveller acheivement, its more about unlocking the actual map areas.

I'm not sure this will help but here is what xbox360achievements.org had to say about this achievement.  I think since you have to do it during a single playthrough that is the challenge.

http://www.xbox360ac...-origins/guide/

Set foot in every area in the gameThis has to be done in one playthrough. You'll need to hit every location on the main map, and the sub maps for the Deep Roads and Denerim. You'll need to do every main quest and quite a few side quests to visit all of them. Make sure you go into every door, every shop, every section every town, every Chantry...everywhere. These are the locations you'll need in your Codex.

I have finally attained this achievement. I had 78% before i spoke to the arl and went to the lansmeet. Once you enter the final sequence of the game in denerim you will acquire 16% which makes 94% for those with poor maths. I was in the middle of the map on the rooftop checked it again and yes only 94%. With the dlc's wardens keep gave me nothing return to ostagar gave me 1% and caradins thaig gave me nothing. honnelath gave me 1% when i entered wilhelms celler. I made one mistake in denerim and never entered the hospice in the elven alienage i got locked out and never bothered to reload my save.

I have been to all of those on almost every play through. Nothing. Does the order mater? I always do red cliff last... Try that first next time then...
I love how they never commented on (nor fixed) this problem, ever. At least an Official List or something would have been nice. It is sad when the fans do more to fix an issue than the company that made millions off of it.

The order doesn't matter from what I recall, but going everywhere in the game does. That means the traveller achievement is one of the last to be unlocked during the course of the game. If you're at Red Cliff then there are still a few more locations for you to explore before the achievement pops. If you've played multiple times then it might be something else.
