Why is their so Many Irish references in DAO

Firstly i am not irish but polish i used to live in ireland cool place grew up partially there so im aware of all the history and stuff isn't ferelden based on England? why is their loads of irish named characters few examples
Morrigan,Flemeth,Mac tir and fegus all irish also the dalish have Irish accent only a few have welsh in DA2 care to explain anyone?

Ferelden is actualy a mix of Irish/Welsh.

Thedas is a large continet and the differant kingdoms are based on differant cultures. example Orlais is based on France and Antiva Espana.
