It just cracks me up the people that are opposed to nudity in video games. People will sit here and say no nudity just for the sake of nudity, or no nudity because children will play... yet you don't hear, please no blood, guts and beheadings just for the sake of blood guts and beheadings, or no blood, guts and beheadings because children will play. LOL... Talk about a backward society.

Nudity does not make the product dirty... it does not make the product shameful... it does not make the product pornographic. Its a more natural part of everyday life then say, blood guts and beheadings!

I don't mind nudity at all as long as it is done tastefully and not just for the sake of fanservice - Want to see Morrigan naked? Here you go! No nudity is OK with me, too. What I really would like is longer love scenes. I liked them in DA 2 a lot, but they were over far too quickly.

Form me the romance scene in DA2 are kinda weird to watch...i almost laught when i seen my hawke have a romantic moment with isabela on the bed...

Kinda watch two people make mhhhh mhhhh with the clothes on... Not mature but childish.....

I prefear a LOT more approach like ME1 DAO or even TW2.. Nice scenes whitout be voulgar but sensual and erotic..

Im laughitng at the ones that screams: OMG NUDITY but at the same time see eviscerate people blood evrywhere and thing like that whitout say nothing....

But i can immagine the world have also not smart people around

Da:o's love scenes weren't good. They were weird and something in them made no sense at all. Me1 and the TW2 (which I have youtubed) were quite good though and something I wouldn't mind seeing in DA

Got poked into this thread to comment on a subject I am normally not one for discussing but there are just too many interesting points being brought up.

I have to say the most touching atleast emotionally, love scene that I can recall was Tali in ME 2, and for me what made it that way was the entrance she did, wandering into the room, babbling away with nerves and the voice acting was stunning there, as she almost tried to talk her self out of it before resolving that come what may she wanted this.

It was masterfully done to be honest and the kind of depth that I have not seen in a game since it really captured very human fragile emotions and that moment where you put your self bare and hope to what ever that the other person wont turn you away at the last moment.

In terms of the quality of love scene I think that one served its purpose and while I have no problem with TW 2 style full on nudity (hell id Tap triss in a heartbeat if she were real) I think what matters is if they manage to capture the conflicting emotions of human togetherness, a sexual encounter is a mix of euphoria, risk, fear and elation you never quite know how that first time will go, if your partner of choice will accept you without the walls and barriers and yes the clothes too. You stand there letting them see you naked and in the best love scenes they have already seen your mind and heart so there is that defencelessness that adds a risk, and finally that moment where you realise, that "its ok" and the relief and euphoria of that.

Capture that and it doesnt matter how much nudity you put into the scene, unless its pure trash, it will be beautiful no matter what.

Have to 100% disagree. Yes the bra and panties cenorship was completely stupid. (luckily i have a mod for it) However That was one of the best love scenes i have seen in a game with the perfect music and setting. Coulda had some variety among the different characters but oh well.

No mods here... and I really prefer varity for the characters. I think my favorite is still ME1 though. It was.. classy.
My problem with da:o was that I wasn't entirely sure what precisly they where doing all the time and I swear at one point one of my dwarves had the same height as Zevran which was weird.

I believe nudity can be shown without it being distasteful or awkward. TW2 did it nicely.

Oh I had a gooood chuckle, I watched that interview where clearly he was tottering on the edge of some sort of psychotic meltdown...and yees I see exactly what you mean...

It is just impossible to sleep with so many people and hump every pole/leg object without having something a little cross wired in the brain. And how is she not pregnant...ever... is birth control standard procedure or are her ovaries shot? She must have children somewhere....and the fact she doesn't have them anymore...

All the people that need nudity, I'd understand if this was some sort of erotic game but it's not, it's over 18 also because of the extensive blood and violence (which there should be much more of I add!!). There should be skin I agree, but if a love scene is tastefully done that you don't see full frontal or a peek of nipple...and you still feel the passion there...

I don't want to feel that I'm google imaging penis or vaj within a game... that makes nudity creepy. Like Charlie Sheen/Isabella...

That's not the point. Having nudity in a game does not make it more mature, and people who don't want nudity in the game "kiddies". And for the record I have absolutely no problem with nudity myself.

I saw the sex scene like once or twice (can't remember) in my six DA:O playthroughs - all the other times I just skip them because ... they're awkward.

Honestly, if Bioware want to do the sex scenes right, just do something similar to ME1 - hell I even preferred the ME2 scenes to anything in Dragon Age.

TW 2 did nudity great. I´d say that no game did it better imo.

But ME 1 was also great, though it could be a little longer. Shame that FOX scared Bioware.

Game is rated Mature but is not porn... I said: No! as a female player I don't want naked characters running around,is true some of the scene were very silly but I rather take them like that as to see them .. you know.. If I want to see the.. well you know.., I just ask my husband for some warm oil. Nexus have few mod's without armor already, check it out.

I rather like to see bioware put out a patch for the toolset so modders can make new adventures, town, cities, forest and well.. whatever also is left.

I can only repeat what I've said in my first reply, because most people probably don't read earlier comments before going into some "antipr0n" rage. I believe only a very small minority would want to see anything pr0n-like in Dragon Age and it's absolutely clear to me that most people who ask for improved, more mature love scenes do NOT mean watching the act of reproduction in all detail.
I personally would like to see something more like in normal movies, or like in ME1 at least. You see a little skin but nothing detailed. Just enough to make the scene realistic and not childish.

What I don't like about Bioware love scenes/romances is that after the 2nd act it's over. Would it be so hard for li's to show a little affection throughout the game instead of one major love scene, and then...... nothing for the rest of the game. It's like they say "ok, now that's over with, let's get on with the important things like fighting and killing stuff"!

Yes it would be hard. It has always been stated by the Devs as minor optional content. If that trend/line of thinking continues one can assume the budget is also in the minor category.

Sums up direction Bioware seems to be heading.

I'm 31 therefore age wise mature, mentality.. Well that's debatable.

I have no problem in fact prefer if there is romance in a M or 18 rated game that there is nudity. We aren't talking full on penetrative sex scenes, just nudity. I find it rather silly in itself that with all the blood and gore in game plus interest in LI's people seem to have around here, that they so squeamish about sex itself. They stereotype us British as anal retentive and uptight with regards to sex which I find ironic given most of the time it's not us who cry rivers and make mountains out of molehills about it when the subject is about an "adult" rated game having sex scenes; with regard to large portion of the game relating to romance (too large imho given I don't class Bioware's titles as a dating sim but when there is romance and it's adult rated it should be in game).
