@Saphra: It's really irrelevant whether the hegemony warmed up to him or not after Arrival since their territory is effectively f***ed by the events in said DLC. As of post-Arrival, batarian home systems and inner colonies are living on borrowed time.

An indoctrinated Hegemony will be even friendlier with him.

If by "indoctrinated" you mean, "series of obliterated planets and civilian populaces rounded up and turned into mindless husks because they are an insignificant species unworthy of attention", then the answer is yesno way in hell.

The hegemony may only be in mid-stage indoctrination and serving as higher end cannon fodder for the short- to mid-term. Assuming the Batarians enslave other Batarians, then the Reapers might have shown up and started off with "You guys hate humans and the Council? OMG so do we, btw we have a way to make those slaves real obedient." And the Hegemony would be all like "Yay! New besties!" all the while getting more indoctrinated.

Since it seems like the Reapers want to turn humies into the next Reaper they probably don't want to endorse some worthless species dropping asteroids on their favored meat bags.

Oh, in the above scenario, I'd expect the Reapers to be using the Batarians merely as cannon fodder rather than actually helping them.

Actually, I would really love if you could catch up with Balak, and I wouldn't even mind if you could kill him, but all of that would be after you witness how he razes yet another colony, this time with millions dead. Now, I know that this whole thing with "justifying renegades" was here before, but I think that isn't the best part. The best part would be if Balak asks paragon Shepard whether letting him go several years ago was worth it and how would Shepard justify that. I really wonder what would paragon Shepards come up with.

People are overestimating Balak here. He was a goober who led a band on a raid for slaves that ended up going bad, not some bad ass terrorist mastermind. Nearly everyone who sided with him is dead, and he probably isn't looking like a winner to other Batarians even if he survived. Besides, what's his plan, find another asteroid that is already being moved?

Where do you want the gilded, 40 foot statue made in your likeness?

My Shepard would prefer something smaller and more tasteful, along the lines of the Saren statue.

Nonsense, monsieur, how will people see your grandeur at such a petit scale? Nono, the statue will retain it's size, c'est comme ça et pas autrement!

Now, where is that crane...?

Bring Down the Sky is probably going to give the Paragon an extra pain in the ass. Just as Overlord will probably bring the Renegade yellow painted Geth.
