Religion should play a bigger role

I can certainly do without all the characters becoming walking advertisements for their respective "higher" powers, however. I already get enough of that just by living in Texas.

OK. Now you have clearly crossed the line. You could do with more compassion and less self-righteousness.
Pfft, if you tought I was one of those nice Christians, then you're wrong. You don't care about salvation? Fine, I tried, nothing more I can do.
I don't think anything. I'm Buddhist hon', so no I don't care about "salvation" or whatever. I care about people who are alive and suffering not about some potential suffering in some afterlife. I do hope you find inner peace and grow less hateful, however.
Thank you, for being part of the individuals worth keeping on this planet. I salute your kindness and award you as much internetz possible. Any shred of generosity I see now-a-days usually restores my hope in humanity, knowing there are still people out there, that aren't douches.

I hate to say it, but after reading the "you`ll be spending enternity in hell" line I think we`ve all been trolled and I feel embarrassed.
No you haven't. Pwner is serious, just a little too in earnest. Don't be too hard on him, he's a good guy. He's just frustrated. We just need to avoid these topics.
Yeah, I get a little too excited sometimes. Sorry if I offended anyone (probably did).
Don't worrie about it, sticks and stones as they say.
I think you might be right about Mordin but I'm sure salarians believe in reincarnation.

Very true. Add in Mordin's exploration of religion and the exploration of krogan spirituality. There are also religious themes in the story: the ressurection of Sheppard and the ascenion of humanity. Never actually thought about how much religion was on display in the story.
Yeah, in no way is Shepard being portrayed as Jesus dying as a martyr for our ignorance and coming back to life to save us from some unknown evil force.

You're making a rather telling leap of logic that because the Salarians are logical and scientific, they are not religious. My entire point during this thread is that the two are most definitely not mutually exclusive, or even needed to tread on each-others' toes.

I hate to continue the topic, but I'll clarify. Mythology came AFTET God and hell. For all we know, mythology took FROM christianity.
You didn't answer my question. Also, it might surprise you to know that long before Christianity or God, there were a wide range of mythologies from cultures all over the world supposing the existance of 'god' or 'gods' in different forms.

It's the oldest story in the book, to be honest, and Jesus didn't start it.Yeah, in no way is Shepard being portrayed as Jesus dying as a martyr for our ignorance and coming back to life to save us from some unknown evil force.

That's is said very loosely by Liara. There is no further evidence to supportit and "reincarnation" is just an interpretation of what she says.

Yeah, but it's a little to obvious in Shepard's case. It's like they're not even trying.
