Shepard would go on with the mission, the same way they did if leaving their LI on Virmire or they died during the SM.

If Liara dies, my Shep will want to go Dark Revan on the whole damned galaxy, but she'll continue on w/ the mission no matter what. Maybe a heroic death would be a good thing in that case?

I don't know, I'd like to think Shep would be mature enough to mourn his/her LI without endangering the mission. Perhaps it would be better to direct the rage at the reapers, ie use the negative feelings in a constructive way.

I think she'd appreciate the irony and our relationship will have come full circle.

Shepard cost 4 billions credits to rebuild, so you could only get half of Miranda done.  So the question would be which half? The top half, or the bottom half...

My Shepard's LI is Tali, so it would go like...

Shep: Dammit, some one get Omnigel on the double!

Tali: Shepard, it's to late. Even if you were to stop the bleeding, I would still die of infection.

Shep: Tali, don't give up, there's still hope.

Tali: Shepard, you've always been there for me, from the time we first met, when you defended me from Fist's thugs, to defending my name against charges of treason, and even now you comfort me in my last moments. You have given me and the entire galaxy hope. Don't waste your efforts on me.

Shepard: Tali, I've given hope to everyone, but if you go, I'll have none for myself.

Tali: You're strong Shepard. You'll be ok. You always have been and always will be.

Shepard: Tali, I love you. You need to stay around long enough so I can build us a house on the homeworld.

Tali: I know Shepard. I love you to. But I no longer need the home world, as my home is in your heart. (she dies)

Shep: (To sad music, takes off her mask and kisses her, and sheds some tears. for the rest of the battle, sad music plays while Shep mows down enemies in contiuous adreneline rush).

At the end of the game, to a setting sun, he would finish putting the last bit of dirt on a grave on the homeworld, with an inscription that reads:

"Here lies Tali' Zorah Shepard vas Normandy, who gave her life defending all life in the galaxy."

Then Shepard would watch the sunset, look at her grave one last time, and leave, and in the background see the beginning of a quarian city in the making.

I agree, my Shep would move on but the Reapers better watch out now that she's got nothing waiting for her back home.

BTW I like your tragic scenario George, it seems well thought out and suitably sad yet accounts for Shepard's ability to move on and finish the mission. May it never come to pass in your first run through ME3.

I was thinking about this one time when it was brought up that TIM could have captured Miranda during Sheps Trial on earth and I thought about how an epic "storm the base" rescue would be and how If she died from torture how much $#!% TIM would be in lol. "Your gonna reget bringing me back" would be awesome.
